 6th March 2012 - Paris-Nice
(Dampierre - Chevreuse ITT)
A short 8km prologue opens the 2012 Paris - Nice, with the first Yellow most likely going to a Time-Trial / Prologue Specialist.
The short course means that the GC favourites should not lose too much time on each other, whilst the KoM Sprint 1km into the stage should give someone the chance to go off hard and claim the jersey.
0km: I was the fifth HTC rider off the ramp, and HTC riders dominated each of the Time Checks out on the route.
1km: I started off harder than I wanted, and it showed it at the first Checkpoint. I was only 3" down on Tejay van Garderen.
6km: At the second checkpoint, I was still doing well, only 5" behind Tony Martin with just 2km left of the stage.
8km: Sadly, I faded in the final kilometre, and couldn't hold on to my strong position, crossing the line 53" slower than Martin.
Martin's time was so good, it was enough to win the stage. The German looked to this stage as a key one for him, and it will look like the Yellow Jersey will lead out the Rainbow Jersey tomorrow...

First of all I would like to say sorry for no updates on the story... I've been majorly busy with work, and I am starting to really hate my job, as well as some serious sh*t hitting the fan with close friend of mine recently.
Long story short, I never seem to get a break to relax and have some time to myself and to play pcm or even visit the site. Because of that, my motivation levels are close to rock bottom, so the story is going to be put on hold.
But I promise. this is not the end of Cav. This is just a break from writing til stuff sorts itself out, and then I will be back better than ever!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments about the story going on hold, but I come to you with some good news... Cav is back!
My break from all things PCM and Cav is over and I want to carry on the story from where it left off. I just hope you guys will still be there to follow his year in the Rainbow Jersey.
