What, Stijn skipped Dwars Door? He had a podium to defend
Also, who brainwashed Cancellara and taught him course tactics?

Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Stijn rode very well in San Remo, could have been better in the cobbles. |

Cancellara is really pushing it I think. Next time attack as soon as he does it.

Ollfardh - He said so right after San Remo, he decided to skip DDV to avoid tiredness since San Remo was extremely tough. A man has to make choices
I don't know what happened with Cancellara. First I thought: "yes, I'm gone with Cancellara, I'm going to sprint him for a third place", but he just didn't do anything. Damn him
PCM rulezz - Indeed. No one got closer to him, he just raced a perfect E3. Boonen will have a hard time stopping him in RvV, since his shape is far from perfect. (only 15th here). Let's hope it's not a forebode for this year's real season.
FreitasPCM - Thanks. I agree, but since he had no help from Cancellara, he wasted all his energy on the (useless) chase after Sagan.
Jakstar22 - I might, though in Wevelgem there's a big chance in everything coming together for a sprint. Might wait for that...
Not entirely sure if I can make a report today. Will definitely try me best, though.

No, but my band's got a gig in a little while and we still want to finish a new project (a 60s rock song, in the style of The Doors) so I've got to go rehearse in the afternoon, and study before that. |

Hi there! I'm enjoying a well deserved break, but here's some news on the team. Slagter is building up form for the Ardennes and finished quite well in Catalunya.

Gent - Wevelgem
Gent - Wevelgem. Arguably the easiest of the four Cobbled Classics. Last year winner and winner of E3 - Harelbeke 2013 Peter Sagan is the biggest favorite for today. Boonen will be looking for revenge, though! And for me, I will be racing for a top 10 place.
The weather reports predicted rain, which would be excellent for me. The day started out dry, though. We were lucky to get Curvers in the breakaway.
From far out, Van Impe tried his luck. I sent Ghyselinck in the chase.
The hills in this race are quite treacherous, they're steep and take the life out of your legs.
Gaps were forming, and on flat sections, I sometimes tried stinging a bit. With 50 km left to go, the pack was breaking up.
I tried a small jump to the breakaway, where Curvers was still riding in.
He instantly put himself in front of me and started riding.
But the peloton was near and I told him to wait. I bode my time and set a strong pace on the cobbles, luring the big cannons out of their hole.
They took the bait, and many missed the cut. Peter Sagan fell behind and wouldn't be sprinting for the win today!
Boonen decided to make one final cut before going to the sprint. I was right on his wheel. Luckily for me, it had rained a bit in the mean time, the roads were wet and I was loving it!
Preparing for the sprint, I fought and won for Boonen's wheel.
There's no stopping the World Champion Tom Boonen and he adds another record on his palmares.
I was fighting Breschel and Visconti for the fourth place! A battle I won!
Just missed out on the podium, what a great day! I was offensive all day long, and really helped make the race. I'm a happy man today, this is a great result.
Result
I can't wait for the Ronde. I'm ready for it. But most of all I'm looking forward to Roubaix, my very own Mount Everest, I must climb it, and I know I will one day!
Until the Ronde!

Boonen with his revenge, I like (this will be a forebode for the real life season )
Very good race for Stijn, he is ready for RvV en P-R. Argos seems really strong on the cobbles

UCI World Rankings
Normally we wouldn't bother you with this, but we're both at an extremely good position in the World Tour at the moment, so here's the ranking before the Ronde Van Vlaanderen:
At the moment, we're the top of the team, so I guess our wages of 3.000 and 3.500 will be upped for next season! Though Slagter follows closely on the rankings, along with Meersman.
Tomorrow is Vlaanderen's mooiste! Until then,
Stijn & Willy |
