I don't really give a crap about Star Wars, but anyone who does is likely to be equal parts delighted and horrified by this news:
Disney just bought LucasFilm, announced that Star Wars 7 will come out in 2015, 8 and 9 shortly after, and then more films at the rhythm of one every 2 or 3 years

I do like Star Wars - and this is not good news in my world!
Movies 7-9 is OK since the books are written, but I have a hard time believing Disney can do anything else than destroying their potential (which I believe is fairly small to begin with...)

I actually don't think episode 1-3 are as horrible as "purists" want to make them. The main problem is that Star Wars consist of totally 9 episodes. First they made film of the best three books, then the nextbest, and now...

I remember being told there would only be 6 Star Wars movies as a kid, and so I had always hoped there'd be more.
Nowadays, not too sure what to think, but I will probably see them anyway, even though they will probably ruin the series.

But Spielberg and Lucas already raped Indiana Jones...
It wasnt the same watching the first 3 after seeing Number 4...
And besides, the whole Starwars saga went the complete cycle... We seen the creation and rise of the imperial forces and their destruction... What is left to tell???

I think it's about Luke rebuilding the Jedi order, and some new Sith or Sith wannabees coming in his way, or in the one of his disciples.
I wonder if they'll set the plot(s) 30 years later, so that they can hire Mark Hamill again.

Anyway i am really sad about this news, i mean even 1-3 were shite, i doubt they can do any better now.

I am not a big Star Wars-fan, to be honest, but I did enjoy all six movies. If they do make more of them I hope they stick to the "actual" story and don't do 2-3 movies about some completely different characters. There has to be some continuence.
