Just coming back to the managerless teams thing quickly. As Oldfart loves his realism mid-season transfers are technically possible. The timing doesn't quite match up with when the season breaks occur but allowing riders in managerless teams to move in Break 3, i think, could be a good option. Conditions could be that they can't change division, or only move if their manager has been inactive for a complete season part, or the new team has to pay an amount to sign the rider, or whatever.
Being stuck in a managerless team is horrible and giving people a chance to get away from that would be nice. And the above idea could make it possible and keep the games realism.

Excited to see the draft results...
Also I think TMM's suggestion isn't far off, though I think allowing a move just before season planning begind for teams whose manager haven't shown until then would be good as well. IRL you're also allowed to change team if your team goes bust before the season begins.

And that's the Continental Teams done, the first 8 guys got their top pick, after that we had to move on to 2nd and 3rd, and even a 5th.
