How is this true!!!!
I never thought I was going to see a French winner of the Tour de France.
You've saved my life Henry. Now I'm not going to turn into a ghost, who is waiting for a French winner. |

If I may... I would like to suggest a Quest for History season for Henry sometime in the future. Giro-Tour-Vuelta.
I just want to see if the great Ian Butler could pull it off.

I suspect Froome's stats were edited. It's not a Ian Butler story without suspicious stuff like this
Spoiler Kidding of course
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"
Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

24sebaf1 - Thanks, I agree, actually This one feels much better, too!
Faillu - Always glad to keep someone from becoming a ghost
Mresuperstar - Aha, a challenge I have to say I hadn't even thought about that. The Triple Crown slipped my mind, but the triple GT... Maybe at the height of his powers he could try something like that. We'll see
Jakstar22 - Thanks!
The Hobbit - Yes, and Henry might be sick eating all those dancing bananas he's received in the last 24 hours or so
wogsrus - His biggest one yet! Thanks.
the_hoyle -
547984 - But you are right. I did edit Froome's stats. At the start of the Tour, I noticed he only had 80 TT, so I edited that to 83 But Froome developed a bit strange. 82 MO but only 77 HILL. That might explain his performance.
Thanks everyone, for being here in my greatest performance yet
No matter how great the Tour was for me and Henry, life goes on and you can't stand still at this victory. Looking to the future, to the next big things.
So this afternoon I continue Henry's journey. The first races may seem anticlimactic and unimportant after such a Tour, but when the World Championships approach, a feeling of anticipation will come back, hopefully |

The Wedding Crashers - Part V A little more information for you might not be unnecessary. You see, Becca's father had run off when she was 8. He was in debts and was a drunk, good for nothing, as her mother decribed him so vividly.
He seemed to have disappeared off the face of the planet and nobody ever heard of him again. But one night, when I was 15, Becca crawled through my window - we visited each other quite often at that time. She had been crying. Apparenty the police had found her father, or at least, what was left of him.
She cried for hours that night.
And now, almost ten years later, a ghost had walked into our Wedding.
Allow me to explain why it's been so long since you heard from me.
See, winning my first (and hopefully not last) Tour de France was the most wonderful thing that could've happened, but it had cost me more energy than I had. Two days later, at about the time it started to sink in, I totally collapsed. On doctor's orders, I took a week off and started training casually again.
Van Impe warned me not to overload my body. I followed his advice and we set up a relatively easy going calendar for the rest of the season. Vattenfall Cyclassics to get back in shape. GP Plouay might open up opportunities to score some more WT points. Than I'll travel to Canada and compete in Quebec and Montreal. Then I'll fly back to Europe and participate in the World Championship Road Race, probably followed by Il Lombardia, where I'll be ending the season, most probable.
Big races, but that comes down to only 6 more race days. We've deliberately chosen for this path, so give my body enough time to recover from the Tour. This way I'll grow stronger still and be able to fight to defend my Tour title next year.
We're not taking any risks.
All those Classics are also supposed to help me gain more experience for the WC RR next year in France. I also want to prove I can do more than climb alone. I can handle 250 kilometers, despite what some say in the press.
Vattenfall Cyclassics This race is mainly to get back into rhythm, but that doesn't mean I can't try anything! My legs are aching to race again.
The Race It felt so good being back. Especially in this jersey. My Tour de France victory changed everything. Suddenly I'm really someone. The peloton respects me so much now. Even though I'm only 24, I'm treated like a peloton captain.
Near the end, there was a succession of 3 hills in 20 kilometers. On the first one, I attacked, and continued the effort on the flat. I had the wind in my back, luckily!
Having a rider in the breakaway always pays off, too!
After the third hill, I had a 40 second gap. But unfortunately, there was still 20 km left to the finish. I was caught only 5 kilometers later.
Stybar, inspired to attack himself, launched himself with 12 kilometers left to go.
He and Vanmarcke managed to get quite a gap and would be sprinting soon.
Stybar was set for the win, but only 2 meters before the finish he got caught, so close!
I came in much later, happy about my first day back. The audience cheered loudly as I arrived. Even in Germany they know me!
Result 1 | Nacer Bouhanni | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | 4h58'12 | 2 | Matthew Goss | Cannondale Pro Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Zdenek Stybar | Team Celesio - Macquarie | s.t. | 4 | Sep Vanmarcke | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 5 | Caleb Ewan | Orica - GreenEdge | s.t. | 6 | Peter Sagan | Katusha Team | s.t. | 7 | Marcel Kittel | Katusha Team | s.t. | 8 | Heinrich Haussler | Sky Procycling | s.t. | 9 | Matteo Trentin | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 10 | Tom Boonen | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. |
A brave attempt from Stybar. Almost had it, too.
My attack carried quite some weight, too. I'll be looking to force something at GP Plouay!

VoetsT - Yeah, so close Surprisingly he only has 2 victories this season so far. But a lot of great podiums.
Atlantius - Yeah, I agree
sutty68 - Too bad the sprinters from the peloton came as close as they did, though.
Dippofix - I thought so. But the peloton came too close in the end, when Vanmarcke wouldn't relay and I bluffed with Stybar, keeping the legs calm for a little while. |

The Wedding Crashers - Part VI I quickly ran to the closest table for a glass of water.
"Becca?"
At the sight of her father, long presumed dead, she had fainted, obviously.
Why was he still alive?
Why did he come back?
Why today of all days?
Was he here to ruin the wedding?
GP Plouay Enough hills to try something fun today!
The Race A surprisingly boring race it was. Even going into the final lap, there were no signs of attacks.
But then he shot away like a rocket. I didn't even get to see who it was. It turned out to be Boonen, going for a 12 km solo.
On the final climb of the steep hill, I tried to go after him. There were only 5 kilometers left now.
But it was no use, he was too far ahead. what a victory for him.
I was able to hang on - just - for a second place. Though in this jersey I would've prefered something else...
