According to De Telegraaf Markus is close to signing with Belkin.
And he signed his contract if we may believe NOS (https://nos.nl/artikel/541280-sprinter-markus-naar-belkin.html)
Indeed it has been confirmed. Markus to Belkin. Also Ivar Slik from Rabobank Development Team will ride as a stagiaire at Belkin.

On the topic of Belkin, they've decided to renew Brown's contract over 2014

I thought the jokes about him being fat were a heavy (no pun intended) overexaggeration, but wtf? I hope that pic is shopped somehow. He looks like one of those 50 years old amateurs you see cycling from cafe to cafe at a sunny day in the weekends.
And by extending his contract Belkin will continue to use their crash tactics I guess

If I was a sports director, believe me, that guy wouldn't last 1 season. |

That could be an off season picture. Note that it is Blanco and not Belkin.

Monfort won't be offered a contract with Trek ( which is quite funny since he was their best GC rider at the Tour ). Lotto intrested of course, but I think so will Sky. However a move to Lotto will do him good as well as lots opportunities.
Kristoff Vandewalle ( OPQS / Belgium ITT Champ ) close to signing with Trek.
Kloden is surplus to requirements at Trek too it seems, IAM intrested.

Main question will be who has to leave at Lotto, They already signed like 5 riders? |

That's interesting. I think it's a good choice of Lotto to sign "second row" riders (Gallopin, Boeckmans, Monfort) and give them an opportunity to lead. They might surprise.

At the beginning of the season, Sergeant (manager) said their "midfield" just grab the chances to get. Some of them did (Wellens, Dehaes, De Clercq, Debusschere, Van der Sande...), others didn't (Bulgaç, Neyens...). Also, a few riders are getting old, like Van De Walle (36), Henderson (37), Willems (34).

Dunno how we view it, but Belkin and Bos credit Brown a lot for his positioning and leading out. He's experienced and knows his way around last km's.
He may seem and looks useless, but I am sure the team and it's main sprinter know much better than we do

Say I tended to trust IAM.
I wonder how Klöden would fare in a MPCC team... |

Frändy won't have any mountain domestiques left. Giving up one of the best domestiques in the peloton.
About Brown, he might be fat, he might be not. But he's been really useless these last 2 years so it was a stupid move to renew his contract, especially because he will be 35.
