In short, no. He wouldn't have panicked and asked for energy gels just a few kms from the finish if he was faking it. He was having an energy crisis.
News out here is, officials are giving 5min penalty for Froome for eating in last 20kms plus fine.
Please, please don't be pulling our legs. Let this be real. |

What about Rogers, he is a good stable rider. Fight for second is going to be interesting. |

Great ride by Ribblon.Contador paid for going on the attack on the downhill but great form shown from Purito he is really coming on strong for the final week.Quintana is now more confident of getting 2nd if he had done the same may be he would have been even closer to Froome-bot who clearly faked weakness.(gotta get the press of his back)

What an amazing win by Riblon, clearly deserved, the Frenchmen can be happy now!
Froome looked "human" and beatable again after the TT yesterday. And what a ride by Quintana, he will probably end up 2nd in GC in Paris! |

Highly unlikely. If we go down that way things just get too conspiratorial. He forgot to eat and suffered because of it.
I thought he remembered to eat but was out of stuff to eat. He didn't bonk really. He lost a minute to Quintana, which was the minute he spent waiting for Porte to get back with the gels. |

It was Porte that grabbed food from the car, not Froome.
Still, it was for Froome, evident that he should receive the fine and penalty. |

That's week 3. And maybe also the crash of him yesterday in the timetrail. Don't know how hard that crash was, but still.

Nice ride in the breakaway, really loved the fight in the end between TVG and Ribblon.
Quintana second for sure and oh the dutch guys, such ashame. Hope they will get their legs back.

Yes, but he gave it to Froome, and almost anyone could tell that it was only for Froome. That'd be kinda like shooting the messenger.
Froome won't get a time penalty. But should. |

Froome ate it though.
Please, I too hope they will NOT give time fine, only money.

By the way, Valverde is now 30 seconds away from 8th overall. Would've been clear 2nd if it wasn't for the echelon stage.

Yeah, but the rules say no grabbing food from car. Nothing about teammates sharing food. |
