Am I the only one who thinks Mollema will win overall? He may even win it on bonifications. But I somehow feel he will win it without bonifications too, he showed great strength on both La Covatilla and the steep finish the day before. Therefore, Angliru seems to suit him a lot better than it suits Wiggins, but also better than Nibali, which means he should be able to gain time on both of them on Angliru. Also, it doesn't look like there's a downhill finish for Nibali, stage 19 might look like his best chance, except for the Angliru stage, where he could have a lead of ~30 seconds going in to Angliru, but how much energy has he used then?
But at the end of the day, I think Mollema will win overall. Kessiakoff is also a questionmark on Angliru, he could go right on the podium, afterall he's only bonifications away from Red. I also believe in Froome (Anglirustage), Nordhaug was commentating for Norwegian Eurosport on Sunday, and he said Froome should be stronger than Wiggins on the steeper climbs, if he's allowed to ride that is. And that, judging by previous stages and comments, doesn't look like it will happen.
I've alway liked outsiders/surprises, that might affect me, but I think Mollema will win overall, Wiggins on second, and Nibali third. Replace Nibali with Nibali with Froome, Fuglsang, even Kessiakoff will do, and it's close to a "dream podium" in this Vuelta, for my opinions

Nibali for me will probably be too strong, his GT pedigree is greater than anyone else, and I suspect that in the 3 mountain stages he will be very tough to drop, and will just need to gap Wiggins once.

That would be the logical thing to happen, but I just have a gut feeling that Wiggins is gonna hold on to the red jersey like a mad dog and surprise everyone

I think Mollema will take it if not Wiggins. I think Nibali isn´t in his top form.
Talking about today´s stage. Do you expect a sprint finish? A breakaway? A late attack?
I would like to see some late attacks -especially from Cancellara and guys like him- in the final 20 or so Km´s. I think that they can arrive to the finish line considering that there are some small hills.

I still think Nibali holds the best cards. If he is anywhere near the form he had in the Giro on Zoncolan he will take red on Angliru.
I don't know how Mollema fares on long steep climbs if he has to ride own pace. So far he's just been following others and attacked once, yesterday. But there was too much wind to attack anyway. |

I'm a little in doubt that Kittel got what it takes to win todays stage. The final kilometres has got a little uphill sprint and i don't know anything about his uphill sprint abilities. So should we count on Sagan for todays stage?

I'm a little in doubt of Degenkolb. He hasn't showed anything but 10th on stage 1

Skil - Shimano seems very well organised in the left side of the pack

Would be nice if Haussler can finally do something this season, with all his bad luck this year. |
