Kees Flodder in the top 10 already, great ride! This are his kind of races of course, but I didn't expect this in his first season!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

the_hoyle
Pieter finished 40th! I think that is his highest finish so far, and on a hilly profile Grin

@The Hobbit: For some reason in PCM sprinters actually slow down when they leave a wheel, so Djaja lost some terrain there. He caught up and ended decent in the end.
@Ollfardh: Me neither, but he was very strong and did quite well.
@the_hoyle: Well, he can only improve for next season then!

Race profiles
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1830_zpsd7874ed0.jpg
A tough first stage. A hilly finish in a further flat stage should provide opportunities for punchy sprinters.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1831_zpsc39482fe.jpg
Stage 2 is hillier and should be for the real punchers. Sprinters will have a hard time hanging on here.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1832_zps6db43ca8.jpg
The short ITT should cause some differences, but they likely aren't too big.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1833_zpsc14257f6.jpg
Another tough stage is waiting here. Still, the finish is flat. Perhaps something for a break?

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1834_zps114c4644.jpg
Another hilly stage awaits the riders today. With a steep hill near the finish any pure sprinter should be eliminated.
report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1835_zpscd298817.jpg
The queen stage leads us over some hills, but the finish on the Haytor should decide a lot today.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1836_zpsdbf93792.jpg
And finally here's the first pure flat stage of the Tour of Britain. Sprinters should have this.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1837_zps294f2f56.jpg
And we end with another flat stage, in the city of London. One chance again for the sprinters.

report

Our squad
Björn Arvid is not in his best shape. In case he feels well he may join a break though.
Joep Gouda is another alternative for breaks. The climber has a good acceleration and that may just help him get a good result.
Kristian Hammarling is the sprinter here. He has some decent support, which may lead to a surprising result for the Swede.
Fatbardh Haxhi is Kristian's main helper. The Albanian should be able to prove himself valuable with a good lead-out.
Simon Holt should have some chances of a good result here. Many stages should suit him quite well, making a good result not unlikely.
Heiko Kalichmann is here to go into breaks. Since he's in a good shape, he might even win a stage.
Peter Pal is not in his best shape. He does have a good punch, which might help him get a good GC.
Timothy Raue is here to go into breaks as well and support the others.

Expectation
The field in the hills is weaker than expected. Top-15 GC or a stage win is our aim.

quite a weak startlist then you would expect from ToB, usually Sky goes full retard with the riders they sent

Ollfardh
Overall quite a week startlist indeed, although Valverde alone probably makes up for that Grin
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

The Rider
Does like a profile where the break could take it, I am thinking Heiko Kalichmann has the team's best chance to do something here. Wink

Top-15 and part of the break.

Race report

Fatbardh is the one trying to set up the break and he succeeds in making it into a break of 3.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1883.jpg

Heiko is unfortunate today, as he crashes quite early on. It looks like he's in pain, but he can continue.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1884.jpg

With 7km to go Fatbardh is reeled in as last of the escapees.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1885.jpg

Kristian got over the hills with ease and we decide to make a sprint train for him.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1886.jpg

It seems like the hill is too tough for some. However, Peter is strong with Simon in his wheel. Kristian has some trouble keeping up.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1887.jpg

With 1km to go Simon and Kristian are strong though, with Simon even leading.

At the line
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1889.jpg
Rowe is the strongest. Kruopis storms to second, while Siskevicius takes third at the last moment, beating Simon who comes 4th.

Race report

Timothy is part of the break of 4 today.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1890.jpg

In the downhill of the second climb Hivert and Dombrowski have attacked. Hivert is trying to drop Timothy and Hawkins, while Dombrowski is still chasing. The pack has meanwhile thinned out to 38.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1891.jpg

At the penultimate climb Valverde catches Hivert. Only Weening is still ahead of the pack, lead by Björn.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1892.jpg

With 1km to go Valverde has dropped Hivert. Weening is coming closer.

Well, time to revive this. I quicksimmed the ITT, so I'll only give results. Stage 4 should be more interesting though.

Race report

Timothy joins the break today in order to preserve his mountain jersey.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2043.jpg

With about 20km to go Lapthorne tries to get closer to the three up front, who hold about 2m20.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2044.jpg

Anderson, Valverde and Puccio attack on the final climb of the day. Lapthorne is between them and the leaders.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2045.jpg

With 2.5km to go Lapthorne joins the leaders, who now have 30s to Valverde. This group is now almost caught by the pack.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2046.jpg

With just over 1km to go the break is also caught. A 'mass' sprint of 34 riders is coming up.

Race report

Timothy once again joins the break to secure his mountains jersey.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2111.jpg

With about 30km to go a group of 4 breaks away. The original break is still quite far ahead though.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2112.jpg

Bad, very bad, news for us. With 15km to go Peter has to abandon as the consequence of a crash. And it gets even worse, as his skull is fractured. End of the season for him.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2113.jpg

Meanwhile in front Hepworth is the first to reach the summit of Caerphilly mountain, just 4.5km from the line. Eastman is 56s behind, together with Timothy.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2114.jpg

Hepworth hangs on for a superb win.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM2115.jpg

House surprisingly comes behind to sprint for 2nd. Timothy ends up 6th.
