No it's not. Riding in that jersey a whole year is really important.

Riders respect the jersey, they won't beat themselves up for not winning but will the happiest rider in the peloton if they do win it. |

UCI Sporting Value after transfers so far.
Not much surprise, only thought IAM would be bit higher.
The ranking doesn't matter as much this year, as there's no teams fighting for promotion.
It's just a question whether there will be 17 teams next year or one team will want to step out, which for now I quite doubt.

With what looks like the disappearance of Euskaltel and Vacansoleil, Europcar probably won't go, IAM said they don't want to go WT just yet. Unless one of the other teams want, can't see anything changing. |

Sojasun too high
I didn't like them riding pointlessly in the TdF, wildcard could've been spent better. Imagine a year with them. Even more pointless than Argos on mountain stages, but the difference is that they were pointless in every stage
I think Novo Nordisk has a good chance to promote
@Spilak look at 2-3

He's rumoured to leave, but just rumours. Nothing really more than that. I see CQ Ranking has him linked with Orica GreenEdge.
Can't find much better team for him than that. Sky is probably the only other teams that suits him perfectly ( and is a fan of Sky as well if you read his twitter), but he wouldn't get leadership opportunities as he could at Orica.
But he's a big unkown. His contract is up. But other than that, nothing certain yet.

I see TVG being the leader of BMC next year. Evans is still a threat in most races. But at 36, his legs seem to be fading. He can still win stages in a GT, but a full 3 weeks...doubt it.
If Costa signs and Costa and Evans are TVG's support. He was off this year at the TDF...but I think seeing he managed 5th as a support rider. Given the lead and guys like Costa and Evans working for him, it might be 2 things. 1-A great strength for TVG to place top 3 or win. 2- Prob the strongest BCM will get and a perfect shot to try to win a GT before Evans cant handle a 3 week race.
Just my thoughts, but TVG showed in the latter part of the tour he can be a threat...with help.

I'd be very surprised if TVG ever makes a GT podium, or even a top 5 again.
The 2012 Tour was a once in a lifetime race for him, thanks to a weak field and a route including barely any mountains and tons of timetrialling.

I don't think that TVG will ever do much better than 5th unless we see a return of the 2012 route as he was dropped on all of the summit finishes in the 2012 Tour and is more of a TTist than a climber, Also I think Costa won't be content with a helping role during his prime years

In general I agree with you. But to say he'll never do it again, a bit risky. He still has time to develop, I think |

Astana and Lampre also want Costa's signature, according to Biciciclismo.
Lampre seem to be most interested, as they're apparently offering quite a bit of money and leadership in more or less every race he starts, including the Tour.
With Scarponi rumoured to leave, he seems like a perfect replacement. Could get them some very well needed results.

Lampre wouldn't be a bad choise imo. Still, I prefer for Costa to have a free role in GT's and leadership in Ardennes + 1 week races. |

Cunego is the one who should change teams (Quickstep maybe?). And if Scarponi leaves where does he go? Are there really better options for him than Lampre? Androni is the only realistic one that comes in my head, but they will pay less and won't have the same access to races. |
