What was with the lack of tv images of the gc group in the last 5km - gap to small to the lead, Di Luca vision for Italian tv or too wet/misty to safely deploy a moto in front of the chase? |

I want to give a round of applaus to Eurosport who has decided that showing several weeks of a bastardized version of pool is more important than anything else.

Same here. Luckily I have access to ESP 2, where the Giro is shown.
But a huge step back imo. |

because nr. 108 isn't used
The organiser of the Giro today announced that the 108 will never be used any more in the Tour of Italy. Wouter Weylandt was wearing this number when he made his fatal crash.

Apparently Wiggins was caught in Salerno crash.
That's what I read before, but actually he was already off the back before the crash.

Wiggins was simply too far behind and that's his own fault, he was already far back with 3km to go...
If Gesink can finish top 20 on a flat tire than there's really no excuse |

It's typical Wiggins to take it very easy if he thinks he has been held up by a crash of some sort. Seems it came back to bite him today - quite careless of him.

Nice too see young riders performing well. And Gesink didn't even lose time today. |

Anyone knows why the race is shown live only in Eurosport2 and in the regular one its only the highlights? |

I believe the official explanation is "business decision". I guess they want to promote Eurosport 2 and eurosport player.
Luckily I do have Eurosport 2, though I struggle with the signal on the HD version of the channel, so I'm stuck with SD on the weekday stages. Could be worse I guess.

Haha! That tends to happen when true sprinters can't keep up, and the climbers don't care.
