Those green circles
Interesting race to see as a neutral (not participating - just as well with the depth of my cobbles squad)
Looks very strange with all the graphics turned off

Gilbert!
I told you we had a shot at the cobbles! I told you! *maniacal laughter*
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Just two days after E3 Gent-Wevelgem poses a lot of different challenges. The Kemmelberg is marked down as the defining moment, but the long run in will allow for a fair amount of regrouping, so expect a group sprint. Outright favorite is Tom Boonen of ING as the 218km parcours suits him perfectly. The weather hasn't improved over the weekend so its still cold but dry.
Smolen (CCC) attacked right out the blocks! He was joined fairly quickly by Cooke (CAT), Rosseler (LPU), Mondory (TUG), Rodriguez (CSC), Fischer (AGT), Bol (IOQ) and Klier (SGL). Together the group rode away to form the days break. They built a maximum gap of 6'10.
With 92km to go Freire (TAM) and Hammond (ITV) attacked, and they joined the break on the first round of hills.
With 73km left Hayman (BAR) and Langeveld (SEB) attacked, but only Langeveld made it to the break.
We will pick up the action with 55km to go, at the start of the second round of climbs...
Smolen wasn't waiting today
The complete break
55km to go - The break leads the peloton by 1'42
36km - Over the top of the Kemmelberg the break leads by 1'51 but the chase is being driven by Chavanel and MCS
Over the Kemmelberg
30km - The race is splitting now! The break leads by 1'24, but the chase group is only 20 riders. Ballan, Terpstra, Nuyens and Hushovd are in a group 1'00 back and trying to chase across.
25km - Bol attacks! Fischer, Mondory and Klier counter. Behind Flecha attacks!
Attacks coming now
19km - The front of the race is all together. The Ballan-Hushovd group has caught the leaders so we have a large bunch racing towards the finish. Both Sagan and Degenkolb are also in the lead group...
8km - Just as it looked like a sprint Flecha attacks!!! Boonen, Cancellara, Vansumeren, Terpstra, Nuyens, Leukemans and Hushovd instantly counter. Gilbert bridges a moment later. Ballan drags Pozzato, Chavanel and Van der Velde across as well. This is the winning move for sure now!
Flecha kicks it off!
2.5km - Boonen is first to launch the sprint! He jumps and grabs a gap while the rest scramble around to get across...
Tomoke is going!
1000m Boonen still leads under the Kite! Its a tired, mad scramble for everyone now...
Under the Kite
FINISH Tom "The Tornado" Boonen wins Gent-Wevelgem!!!
Spartacus takes 2nd and Vansumeren 3rd. Nuyens is 4th with the TLI duo 5th and 6th. Leukemans takes 7th with Gilbert 8th. Pozzo and Ballan recovered to 9th and 10th.

So, at least Cancellara is collecting some points...
E3 was a very exciting race but the outcome wasn't too much in my favor, Boonen was just too strong in G-W.
Spoiler In other words:

Actually, which WT-teams haven't won a single stage/race/classification yet?
I know Motorex is one of them...

@stromeon
deal with it and it's the only way i can get decent gamplay...
@ollfardh
I know! I take back some of what i said
@fcanc
Yep he's started going. E3 was just amazing to watch. When that group went away i had no idea what would happen. Then it looked like they would get caught, then they stayed away. And Gilbert finally took it with 500m to go! Great race.
GW much more normal.

Wouldn't worry, you're plenty safe in the rankings. Solidly mid table so far (well the mid table is 2nd to 14th...)

It is going to be very hard to beat these guys in RvV and P-R for Vanmarcke. But I think a top 10 is very possible

The team come to the cobbles with very few expectations, no real cobbles riders except ulrikkson who at least grabbed us a few in GW.
Will try and get the next stage or two of VC up tomorrow, but i've been back in hospital having repair work done on my ribs as they weren't healing properly

Decent riding by Thor "saving" our cobbles campaign this far...
Very disappointed with Matti. Hope he has a better excuse than the one with the knee he always uses
But great to see/hear that young van Triesenberg showed himself a bit already in his first professional race ever
and Baggi: Do take your time and get well. Obviously we would like the race, but your health is more important!

Slightly disappointing E3 for me. GW win was awesome though!
Suddenly, Boom is out form, so I can't take 2 Top 10s. Motorex & Lunar therefore get more points in GW than ING

Wevelgem was good, but yeah E3 was still awesome. Too bad only Gilbert can perform though, was expecting more of my other riders.
I also like your sense of irony: having an Euskaltel rider as control team in a cobbled classic. Poor chap
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

@Baggie
take your time mate, nothing is more important that your health. I mean if we get to August and are still waiting then we might have to find an alternative
@Atlantius
Thor well above what i was expecting. Matti just constantly seems out of position really early on and can never recover well enough. Did make special point of watching the custom riders when possible.
@jaix
Again ABC well above expectations! Clearly you've just got the luck in these games...
@Jesl
Boom has the same issue as Matti. Dropped early and never recovers. I will say that Tankink has been a beast and done atleast 50% of all chasing over the two races. Also wouldn't worry about points, ING's lead is still large
@Miguel
Above expectations, and consistency is the sign of a great rider
@Ollfardh
Well at least i couldn't get involved if i wanted to Devenyns, Devolder and Thompson have just been invisible... Thompson can usually be found with Boom and Matti
