Good start for Henao in Spain.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hoping for Konrad to do something at the Vuelta as his season so far was rather disappointing. 10th after 5 stages is a good start even though the time loss on stage 2.
Thanks dominox! |

La Vuelta... I dream of winning it someday.
Good luck to all! I'll watch with interest how it unfolds. |

Ruben now 14th, about where we expect him to be. The rest of the team is far enough behind to join breakaways.

Suntory Vuelta Bardet Watch
S1 - TTT Disappointing, not sure why Viennet TT74 finished behind Castillo TT65
S2 - Stage win for improved punching Bardet, bonus seconds very useful
S3 - Lapse in concentration loses Bardet 17 seconds undoes S2 bonus seconds
S4 - More poor positioning but no time loss for Bardet this time
S5 - Bardet wins a bunch sprint! (Ok so we dropped the sprinters )
2 stage wins but 45 seconds down, needs to make stages 8,9,10 count before the TT (which is hilly so not sure how bad Bardet will be, hopefully not too much)
Thanks for the videos dominox!

Awesome to have a stage win on the third day, and also on the other stages Bananito has been racing well. On third day he was launching himself hard into the ascent and finished it off very strongly. 81ACC is still killer.
No love lost between Bardet and Aru yet but the race seems to be shaping up for both very well at least. Polanc confirms being a prime contender, too. Will be a good race to follow.
Great videos thanks dominox.

Hm not the best of starts for us, but hopefully that means we'll be attacking in full force in the second half of the race.
Thanks for the videos dominox!

I hope Geniez can find his way to a semi-high GC position. Every bit of success is welcome at this point.

KBC as invisible as expected in Spain. I think one good breakaway result would meet our expectations.
GC battle kicking off in a hurry.

U23 Alain Penot wins Cascade Cycling Classic at 22yrs - look out for Équipe Development Citroën next year!
9th & 10th for the Suntory riders is a bit disappointing.

Phinney wins our last focus race. Good, but I was hoping for a deeper score, Broeckx just 20th...

Always solid: Max Fritsch
Always invisible: The rest of the dev team. Maybe try and join a breakaway at least?

Romero MartÃnez scores his best cobbles result of the season, as far as I remember. 10th is definitely a good result. The rest of the team was invisible, which is a bit disappointing from Zabel, but anyway we got more points than expected.
Ollero's 7th place in Cascade Cycling Classic is great, he definitely shows his potential now and then already this year. We expect slightly more next year, though - and we definitely need more depth in the youth squad!

Yves Charton, finally
He was already racing with the big boys last year and stepped down a level for this season and now the currently biggest Swiss talent takes his first win, great to see.

The rankings are extremely close, with Trans Cycling barely ahead but likely staying second with their solid allround scoring depth.
Just 200 points below us, Equinor are shaping up to be a serious threat to our promotion campaign.
Particularly under these circumstances, it hurt to see Cigar City ending with Ringheim in third and our best cobbler Adams 10 minutes down...
Still 30+ race days left before the end of the season, but it's gonna be a nail-biter for sure, especially if Herklotz struggles in Lombardia and doesn't win decisively in China.
As I mentioned before, Plarre's consistency in his half-dozen puncheur classics to finish his season will determine our final position.

This year really is the breakthrough for the Dev team! Dufour taking a couple of nice stage results and now Penot with out first overall win! Everyone but Dufour is still eligible next year as well, could be a nice sendoff for some riders who have been with us since the beginning.

Good stuff from the Dev team at Cascade, solid as always. Illsanker is our star of the season. Nice win from Berg as well

and our best cobbler Adams 10 minutes down...
Adams is homesick.

KBC-23 with our usual multiple riders in the top 10 of the TT at Cascade. Hopefully one day they find the right magic to get a win. Only 1 of them is 23 so should be stronger next year. Koncz the best on paper but keeps getting beaten by Karpati, who further shames him by taking 2nd from a break and 2nd in the points.
