@sutty: Just claimed about 20th place on GC with Gerdeman after an 8 minute breakaway on stage 6. Di Gregorio suffered on the climbs and there was the bust up with Katusha

Tour de San Luis
Stage 1
Stage 1 begins with a flat stage, where the sprinters will want to show the colours.
Caleb will be our focus as we go for the stage win, whilst looking after Moreno and Estaban.
A group of three went off the front of the peleton, in the search of a breakaway victory.
The peleton, led by Cannondale, Vacansoleil and BBVA, did not see the break as a threat, as the gap grew to over 6 minutes.
Orica joined in the chase, and as the break's lead began to decrease rapidly towards the finish, it was clear that it would end in a bunch sprint.
As the sprint got underway, Bewley was doing a great job setting a high pace, but was unaware that Lavery and Ewan had lost his wheel.
Duque (COL) would take the win, ahead of Sagan (CAN) and Matt Goss (OGE). Ewan would put in a great sprint, and finish 5th.

Duque must be in great form to beat Sagan and Goss, but all in all a nice result for Ewan, hope he can improve further as the race goes on! |

@fernando: Duque came from a long way back to win. The second to last photo is 2km to go, and he is nowhere to be seen...

Good 5th place by Ewan! I am sure the guy will develop into a beast and will be the base of the teams future!

Disappointing result for Ewan, as he won here last year. Bewley is to blame.
Great to see him get a 5th place though. Nice start for him. |

@admir: Possible future development could make him similar to Robbie Ewan in my eyes. And that's not a bad thing!
@mvh: He did indeed win here last year and I tried to same tactic this year as well, by splitting the peleton on that final bend. Just didn't work. Bewley was too strong and Lavery couldn't handle the pace

@voets: It is early in the season and with a new train. It will take time to get in full motion
@sutty & baia: Thanks Was hoping for more though
Sorry for the lack of updates over the last week. Been busy with work, doing a bit of charity work and seeing my girlfriend. I am free today, and tomorrow I have no work thanks to the Bank Holiday, so I hope to get to the end of San Luis

Tour de San Luis
Stage 2
Stage 2 in Argentina and another chance for the sprinters on the road. A flat finish means that Caleb will take the lead again. KoM sprint on the route offers some hope to a breakaway but this is looking like it will end in a Bunch Sprint.
A group of 4 riders went off the front early in the stage, with Davide present in his quest for the KoM Classification.
The break worked well together, building a lead of over 6 minutes at one point.
BBVA and Lotto took the main control of his main bunch, and soon the gap began to drop quickly.
With 12km to go, the peleton was only 58" behind. Villella made his move. Our young Italian was going all out to try and make it to the finish.
GreenEdge took full control in the lead-out, and sadly that meant that it was curtains for Davide. The KoM jersey would be his reward for today.
GreenEdge looked like the favourites as the sprint began, but behind Lavery was doing a great job for Caleb.
Victory goes to Sagan! He was strongest at the end, and left Duque and Ewan trailing in his wake. Caleb should be happy with his 3rd place finish though.
