Wiggins had a bad face (worse than usual I mean) for most of the climb. Of course it could be totally unrelated and due to just bad positioning, but it's too bad that no one tried to at least test how he was really feeling.

There were a few splits in the end of the peloton. Wiggins not concentrated enough I guess. |

Wiggins losing time here. Makes me happy, now he is at the same time as Hesj and 3 seconds down on Nibali, closer together!
Great win for ProConti team! |

Well done by Battaglin, surprised nobody could keep up with him. How about Gesink and Weening?

Weening was first one at 10 seconds
10sec is not much, neither is 17sec for Wiggo. He could make that up in about 5-10kms of TT
EDIT: What about tomorrow? That hill in the end does not seem easy.

Caught the last 5 klicks there. Nice to see little Italian wild card team, rightly thrilled to pull off a massive stage win.
Have to say its a bad one there from Sky with Wiggins losing a bit of time. He is not going to be the type to grab bonifications, so he can ill afford lapses like that and sort of negates the good work from the TTT. That is all at this stage but still it is a bad omen.
That said he does have a tendency to lose bits of time in stages like that. He did so a couple of times at the 2011 Vuelta.
This does give everyone else a bit of encouragement though, attacking can reap dividends.
Still a bit of a phoney war though, Saturday/Sunday/Monday are going to be big ones coming up by the looks.

Good to see Wiggins loosing time. Stage 7 might be his big downfall, could loose at least a minute on that stage.
Really pleased to see Bataglin winning, great young team Bardini is!

While that stage really doesn't suit Wiggins at all, I think 1 minute is too much time to lose there. Unless Sky fucks up and leaves him alone like they did with froome in Tirreno, the loss should be no more than 30s, if any.

Dreadful weather all told, but an exciting stage near the end with all the drama that went on. Di Luca just not quite with the legs to pull out enough of a gap with Chapalud to take the stage. Chapeau to Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox however, that must be a massive victory for their rider and the team as a whole. |

Lapse by Wiggins or stomch bug spread from Cataldo?
Great job by Katusha and Paolini to defend pink, even if it understandably left him empty for the sprint.
Great to see an Italian team take the win too! |

What was with the lack of tv images of the gc group in the last 5km - gap to small to the lead, Di Luca vision for Italian tv or too wet/misty to safely deploy a moto in front of the chase? |
