Wow, you guys think 32 is hot? A couple summers back it was 48 down here. Each summer there are usually about 5 days over 40, and nearly all Mid-November to late-February is 34+.
I live in Wales so we only get about 5 days a year where we can say its really hot |

Yesterday was the first day of snow, today is the first day of perfect skating ice on every road surface. Went outside and after I had walked about 1cm I slipped and fell. My tailbone has been turned into a jigsaw puzzle.

I know it is very slippery her aswell. Went out yesterday in running shoes and it was not the best choice when you have to go the 300m to the busstop. |

Very beautiful ones actually. Though the only time I went to Wales it was something around 26 degrees. |

The best thing about Youtube is how you can find whole TV-shows there. Just finished watching all the seasons of Mock The Week
Mock The Week is the single most addictive thing on whole Youtube
When you read the comments on the videos, it's funny how people still in the 12th season are naging about Frankie Boyle. I mean, he was one of the funniest, but he wasn't that good. I thought Russel Howard was a bigger loss.

He was by far the funniest. No question. No doubt. It's got better recently but the dip was incredibly marked after his leaving. |

Yep, Rossel Howard was indeed great there. However his show ''Russell Howard's Good News'' is pretty darn funny as well xD

Of the current cast, Hugh Dennis, Ed Byrne and Chris Addison are definately among the funniest. Dara too, of course. I can never make up my mind about Andy Parsons; his jokes are funny, but the delivery is sometimes woeful.

Yes, I know Vista is/was horrible, and XP is better. However, I'd still take it over Windows 8. My computer has windows 7. My old one (which I still have) carries XP. Sometimes I really regret trashing that computer so much, because XP was on there. Of course, I love Windows 7, so not changing back. My laptop carries an updated XP from when Microsoft was reacting to the negative response to Vista.

I've had Windows 8 for a while. It's certainly faster than Windows 7, and some of the UI improvements are good.
But it's definitely built for tablets and touchscreens. Not desktops. I'm seriously considering switching back (although it's certainly better than Vista, and I'd also say the same for XP)

Yeah. You know the basics like faster are gonna happen. I used the preview at a friends house and yes, it's faster, but Windows 7 is very fast and I'm content with it. As far as I know, some games still count back to XP in whcih operating system they can run on- of course the hardware matters there. A good portion of my games count back to the (epic) Windows 98, or the (fail) Windows 2000. Of course they are old, but they are awesome.

I've had many games that worked on XP and some even Vista that stopped working at Windows 7, that was a major drawback of Windows 7, in my opinion. |

Most tests I've read here say both are pretty close in terms of speed. Windows 8 starts 2 seconds faster (8 seconds instead of 10), but that's basically it, difference is never above 2 or 3 % otherwise, and not always to 8 advantage.
Good thing for 8 is that it may improve over time, whereas 7 is probably already as good as it'll get. |

What I dislike the most about Windows 8 is that it switches between the classic desktop mode and the Metro tablet mode.
If I click the desktop "app", I shouldn't have to use the Metro layout until I choose to do so. On the contrary, if I navigate in Metro, I shouldn't leave that environment unless I click the desktop app.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Clicking the Word shortcut in Metro, I'm forced to desktop mode. If I want to launch an app in desktop (the new start button...) I have to go through Metro.
I only had the chance to play with Windows 8 on a few of the upcoming tablets and computers, probably an hour in total, so it's too early to make a final judgement. But so far, I'm not too impressed. |

When a UK shop says "next day UK delivery as standard", does that mean I'll receive my goods on Monday if I order today (provided I live in UK)? |

The sooner you order it today, the better chance you will have of it arriving on Monday
