roturn , where´s OKC in your list? Durant will be coming back with a chip on his shoulder plus he´s in a contract year, don´t sleep on them
Agree. OKC is the real wildcard this year, we've got no idea how good they'll be.

OKC surely is one of the top4-5 teams imo.
Cleveland, Golden State, OKC, Spurs, Clippers look best with Houston just behind I guess.
But OKC is hardest to judge as they need Durant from 2 years ago and such long injuries are often not ideal to find back the form quickly. Must admit, that I haven`t followed them in the preseason, so can`t say, if he did any good there.
Similar case to Indiana, where Paul comes back after that horrible injury.
The West is very close already and in the end the team with the less injuries might be able to get the better playoff spots. Durant/Westbrook both tend to be injured here and there. So really a tough case. |

A very casual Hornets fan here, is there anything much to be excited about are are we still one of the weaker teams in the East?

My NBA champ prediction for this year:
Head: OKC
Heart: Clips
As a Clipper fan obviously I'm rooting for them. The bench has been boosted massively. However if OKC stay healthy theyre my favourite because the duo of KD and Angry Westbrook is so amazing when at it.
Angry Westbrook = Triple Doubles for days. |

James Harden needs to get his shit together ASAP. I can't take any more 20-point losses.

You people have seriously got to be joking. OKC is EASILY a top 5 team in this league right now. Durant & Westbrook are beasts together and the 3-0 start they have is the start of something very special. Just have some faith and watch them dominate

James Harden almost plays as badly as Kobe Bryant. What is up with him? They were up like 20 point and lost with 20. So fucking horrible. And Dwight Howard, Houston is so savage atm
Sticking with Warriors again this year, fearing San Antonio the most, but OKC and Clippers will obviously also be in it with all their start power. Im by no means a Westbrook fan, he is an amazing player, but everytime I watch OKC I just feel like he wants all the shine despite him playing with a player who is the best and most efficient offensive player in the game..
Steph has been AMAZING so far, hopefully he'll get another MVP. He, Griffin, LBJ, Westbrook, Durant and Harden should be the early favorites. My big sleeper here is Kawhi Leonard, he obviously most likely wont get it since offense>>defense in terms of voting MVP, but I just feel like he will have an insane season
I have no clue about the East apart form Cavs winning easily again. I guess Miami and Bulls are the 2 closest team, but meh. Those are all relatively boring teams to watch, only Cavs with a healthy Irving from the East are interesting to me. Im hoping for Wizards to do some damage in the East, I like the backcourt. And Melo is back, hopefully hell have a great season and carry the Knicks to the 8th spot, but I doubt it.

As a pacers fan the first few games have obviously been a bit horrible to start with
Monta Ellis just doesn't seem to be hitting any sort of form what so ever and him being a volume shooter it's destroying the starters usually from the 2nd quarter onwards.
We've lead every 1st quarter so far
Plus side Myles Turner is an animal some amazing post moves his Defense needs work but his upside is massive at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if he became a top 10 center and a big scorer the way he looks at the moment
PG13 is also looking fine obviously not at his best yet but three solid games in a row from him is very nice to start with though him and the rest of the starters are sturggling +/- wise George Hill is also playing to his level though it's really Ellis, Miles and Mahimni not pulling there wait enough, I expect Turner to be starting soon the way Mahimni is at the moment
The plus side is the way we played against good Toronto and Mepmphis sides means we have potential should PG turn into up the heat |

While Dallas is playing like Dallas always does, one player really impresses me.
Dwight Powell is playing with great vision and passion. If he can keep this performance up, surely a MIP candidate.
Really fighting for every offensive rebound, having found his jump shot but sometimes misthrows the easy under the basket throws.
Will become interesting as soon as McGee is healthy again if his minutes go down a bit then or if he has hearned those 20+ min then. |

Clippers - Dallas game with the expected atmosphere.
Great game to watch. Incredible 3rd quarter by the Mavs where basically every shot was good. When losing their advantage in last minute and start of 4th though, they had the right answer again.
Brilliant win and Dirk at his best this game. |

Kevin McHale fired today.
Daryl Morey is the most "fan-like" GM I've ever seen in sports. His decisions (trades, firings, etc) come sooner than even the fans call for it

Golden State 20-0, will tonight be the night they finally lose for the first time!?
If not, how many wins do you think they will rack up before they lose?

82-0. Probably will lose at least one game in the playoffs. Could see Kawhi Leonard shutting him down for a game and snatching a close one in San Antonio.
Seriously tho, Curry should already be awarded the MVP, this guy is incredible. Meanwhile, Harden, Durant, LBJ, Westbrook, Davis etc. have relatively mediocre seasons, not in terms of stats, but surely in terms of the win column which still should be the most important. Have seen a few OKC games this season and they seriously dont strike me as a team which can win it. Too much Westbrook's turn-Durant's turn.. comparing that to the Warriors, I dont see them being enough of a team and I really hope Durant sooner rather than later leaves. I have always felt Westbrook to some extend holds him down - I could be wrong!
Incredible to watch the Warriors tho. I have never seen anything quite like that and Steph working his magic is just out of this world, he is seriously amazing. |

Big game for Wes Matthews yesterday against the Wizards.
10 successful shots from 3 point range with 17 attempts.
Horrible perimeter defense by Washington in general as also the others had easy shots. |
