Congrats to Kraftwerk they brought a strong team and it is paying off.
Frustrating that the peloton doesn't seem interested in breakaway wins given our enthusiasm for the breaks and McCutcheon finishing 5th in the field sprint suggests he could have been one of the strongest. Also a little worried that we leave Kuss with only our two weakest riders for company.
But another stage crossed off and plenty of camera time. Things get serious tomorrow.

So cool to see Liphongyu still in the top 10. And also Chhetri not doing so bad. |

Nice play for KOM by McConvey, hopefully makes the last week interesting. Brandt still ticking over nicely.
the hat-trick hope is that Bennett pulls off the last stage

Liohongyu's top 10 on GC is massive for us, he's really doing his best to get us a good result without our top 2 climbers present.

Hehe, of course Penaza and Nerz needs photo finish after such a stage
What a duo!
Atapuma still holding on to his 8th. Exciting stages to come.
Thank you roturn! |

I guess Garby is proving that he just can't perform in the MG. Change of scenery and favorable startlists be damned. He just doesn't have it in him.

Fantastic battle between Nerz and Penasa!
Kiserlovski with a great ride to lead Nerz up the final climb meaning his leader could save that extra ounce of energy to edge the stage win.
The top two are so evenly matched those bonus seconds for the stage win could make all the difference in the end.
Massive descent off a HC climb tomorrow, neither of the top 2 are great descenders. Happy there is no chance of crashes!
Another fantastic report roturn, had me shouting at the screen!

More really good stuff from Kuss, grinding up long climbs is his bread and butter.
I am going to take the risk of getting greedy - that maybe an attack ahead of the big two could get some stage glory, if they look at each other to chase. At 10 minutes he isn't a threat.
That said 4th on the GC would be an outstanding results, along with multiple top 10s. Also liked the team keeping the break powder dry pretty dry on a stage like that where we would have stood no hope.

I guess they're just going to let Ford carry on, huh?

Pleased to see Kiserlovski getting back on and keeping his GC position. Maybe he is starting to feel his age.
Nerz home safe.
Hilly stage tomorrow shouldn't see a big GC change.
Thanks for the report roturn.

Just catching up now. What's the record for the fewest teams winning the most stages with the most different riders in a GT? Desigual, KMM and Valio about to be shooting through that mid-table I guess
Also loving the coverage and enjoying the Nerz vs Penasa battle.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Congratz to Kraftwerk and thank you for the great reporting
We did what we wanted to do here, get our captain in the break. Just a shame the peleton wanted to work today.

Looking better and better for Brandt. He's a good TTer but I'm guessing the Mountain stat is most important in a Mountain TT.
Can't see him lose too much time in any case.

Not sure how Young survived there for a Top 5, but we will take it. Will be interesting to see if Fraile can gain any time back on the mountain TT.

Good stage for us, no place lost in GC.
Now, two REALLY vital stages left.
Atapuma need to be sharp in both of them to succeed here.
Kraftwerk should not be here, but rather compete in Le Tour de France.
And Michael Ford, you just have to love him |

I can't get my head round how well Kraftwerk are performing! Perhaps we should change sponsor to US Postal
1-2 on the stage, Denz into the top 10, Nerz extends his lead (a bit)!!
Mountain time trial tomorrow which should be good for Nerz to keep his lead. Denz is average at TT so may struggle to keep his top 10.
Kiserlovski is suffering from his weak recovery, hope he can hang on to a top 20 over the next 2 stages. Geniez has great recovery, expecting him to keep his spot in the top 20.
Desigual took back 3 mins in the Team competition last Time Trial stage, good job we have a 7 min lead.
Thanks again for the report roturn.
