Nice to see EBH get a win atleast.
Ponzi safe and the team doing well is all I can ask for at this point!

Great to see EBH bounce back, just when I started to doubt him Congratulations, CT!
Also perfect by Beltran, who despite bad positioning survived without time loss, eventhough it looked to be very close. Still 8th overall is good, and he really should be able to at least defend that position. If he can have another super day like the first hilly stage, even 5th overall is possible, but that can't be expected.
Looking forward for the final hilly stage, hopefully Beltran is more aggressive there, and then there's hopefully a chance for Ciolek looming at the very end of the race too. |

No attacks, and a horrible result by van der Hugenhaben. We always knew this would happen, but... Come on!

Thats more like it! Except Maccagli maybe was not the perfect guy for a breakaway on this stage...
Good result by Haugard Jensen aswell!
Congrats CT! |

Another rather quiet stage with few gaps upfront which is a good thing. Van Stayen gained a few spots in GC and sits now in exactly the spot i hoped he would be with those that are better puncheurs ahead of him (except Sagan) while sinilar strong puncheurs sit behind him.
Based on the report i had hopes that he could actually join the sprint but this was fine either way. loved Smirnovs attempting an attack
Next up is the one stage that i was really fearing. Please dont ruin your GC, Michael Van Stayen!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Hopefully Phelan just saved himself some energy to be ready for the KoM fight on the next stage. Those mountain sprints there could be very dangerous for our new goal to win the polka dot..
Kinda lame stage otherwise. Bobridge on 7th, well, that's okay then, but he needs to be aggressive. S6 may be tough though and it looks like a stage, where you can lose quite some time if you're on a bad day. I'm not ready for a disappointing result, so he better performs like on S4..
Thanks for the quality reports so far!

About time! Nice to see EBH win, although I had hoped for more time gaps on this stage.
By the way - seems the DB hasn't been updated with the national champions? |

Kelderman in the wind for the entire last two kilometres, instead of simply joining that line a few metres to his right. At least we showed our jerseys, but this would've been a much better opportunity to attack early than whatever that was supposed to be yesterday.

4th in stage is a really decent result. 20th overall is quite a disaster. Disappointed with the lack of action.

It's unfortunate that Claeys only performed well in the stages where no gaps appeared and faltered precisely in those where riders managed to get some time between each other.
Cool to finally see EBH wake up to this race and take these two victories.

Phelan tried again, too bad he was not allowed to go clear. That's too much thrill for my liking now
Bobridge did okay then. Too bad he seemed to crack on the final metres, the last picture before the finish looked promising for a podium finish. So it looks like a 6th in the GC. Probably too less with Morton randomly taking a pi** at P-N, but it's something.
Thanks for another detailed report. I'm praying for this KoM shirt now. I only remember two KoM wins for our team (Rohan Dennis at P-N back in 2015 or 2016 and Simon Gerrans at the Herald Sun Tour back in 2013)

Trofimov not landing top 10s will spell the end of our return to the PT. He had better improve from this.

Another stellar performance from Bakelants. Looked extremly promising a while and Ponzi didn't look like he was having his best day, but still 2nd on the stage and in GC is a great result from Bakelants. Really liking his steady start to the season, though we of course hope to see him on the top of the podium in our coming races.

Had hoped to keep Ginanni behind Beltran, but still a 9th place overall is pretty good for his stat and abilities on such a route. Hopefully he'll improve further when we hit "mountainous" hills
And another win by EBH, and suddenly 2016 seems to only be part of a distant past. Congratulations again, CT! Also well done Ponzi keeping the race lead and thus winning the race, eventhough he finally was put under pressure.
Also thank you again for your nice report and very good pace as well, Tamijo |

Great job by De Bie. As I wanted and needed a good stage result for points and bonus seconds that move him into the top5.
Great team effort even though all dropped back a lot afterwards.
Nice stage. |

15th is at least somehow decent after that massive loss on all other favourites. Still a major failure though.

Kittel sure does love to attack here, sadly a lot of intermediate sprint opportunities not taken despite being in the front, to steal some sneaky ranking points from the Points classification.
Harder stage for Reimer, but holding onto a Top 30 GC place is nice.
Good seeing the big names going for it on Stage 6 though, with plenty of gaps. Thanks for the reporting Tamijo.

Puh! Just glad Ponzi managed to hold on here.
What a thriller that was, didnt seem like Ponzi was up for it here, as he was in the first two hilly stages. Luckily he did enough then to hold on even with some weaker days. 2nd in points aswell with best team makes this a great race even with the weak finish.
Glad to see EBH back to life aswell. Not a bad race for Bakelandts either.

It happened what i feared would happen: Van Stayen gets dropped earlier and faced a big gap with quite a few kms to go. However, he put in a great fight and doesnt lose much time in the last 10 km and is rewarded with a nice GC position which isnt looking likely to change. Unless we get some nice echelons again
