Not exactly as there are still NC's and WC's on the way, but the regular season has finished, and after a long time absent from the communications we announce that we will be promoting for Pro Continental!
As announced early in the season the Top5 was our goal and that was exactly what we managed, great performances by Robert Kiserlovski and Hugues Mottin got us to take 6 stage wins and3 GC's at the end of the season. Truly a remarkable performance by Kiserlovski who finished 3rd on the season's individual standings due to his consistency all season-long.
All the emotion has been expressed throughout the final days of racing culminating in Zurich, but we should also give a major mention to our riders who raced brilliantly this season and managed to guarrantee promotion by the smallest of margins, all were vital in this journey that seems to just be starting.
It's been quite a hectic week in the Andorra HQ, this result will bring the team and the sponsors a much bigger awareness in which an anouncement has been made. InGamba's presence as the team's secondary sponsor will be no more. Although they were pleased with how the season went the Andorran federation wasn't pleased with the support that was promised and the lack of attention, mainly when the team's French start Hugues Mottin won the Windhoek ITT.
This move came as a bit of a surprise as this sponsor had an influence on the team's transfer season including the stagiair Franck Bonnamour, who was specifically mentioned by InGamba.
This leaves a hole in the team's sponsorship but the rumours is that the Andorran cycling federation is considering sole sponsorship as in their debut year. This year the hiring of Oscar Cabanas was very successful, and eyeing how the new generation of Andorran talent is set to emerge the team needs a renovation and they want to focus on their upcoming talents.
As for the riders in the team there is also lots of inside information that has been leaked. It's been said that there was manipulation in the NC route so as to favour Oscar Cabanas as the team management wasn't happy with the performances of some of the Andorran riders in the team, if this is true it's confirmation that there will be a renovation in the team's national focus.
