Just relieved Bardet could hang in there. Was very worried when the initial 11 man group got the gap. Was hoping Battaglin could too but the hills are not his thing. Still disappointed with the latter's performance. Maybe he can do something in one of the later climbing stages. Pulling Bardet up the climbs would also be on his platter. One of the two would be welcome.
Have some hope for the uphill finish on stage 5 with Kreder. Hopefully he can keep his consistency going.
Congrats to Xero on another win! Some of us are struggling to even make it to the front, and you guys already have two wins this season

Still in the hunt with De Marchi and Khripata.
I’ll take that.

Contaldo wow he was stronger than expected very happy with that, also with disappointing little help from the team.
It was very close for the line.
Congratulations to jandal. Thanks for another great report SN.

My main promotion man Igor Anton shows how he is still a top class CT rider. Great to see our Kiwi brothers winning! Anton adds to his numbers of days in yellow in CT, fantastic!

Every climber except Anacona staying with Kip is obciously suboptimal, but with these timegaps I hope at least one of them tries to go for an early attack and a stage win now. |

Great to see Repsol tearing the race apart. Valls was never going to win that final sprint but it's good to see that his domestiques will be able to guide him to a great result!

Really? Aaaaaargggghh
A real shame that there was no gap given, because it would have eliminated Suaza and other similar riders, and Valls would have to battle with 5/6 riders for the win. It was obvious that the 1-2 in KoM would remain as it was, but great to pick a few more points thanks to that. And also with Valls decent result in the sprint, he is clearly making progress for a Points standing charge
And congrats to Abhishek for his first win in MG

Didn't expect much from this stage, and despite gaps possibly being an adventage for us I'm just happy that, in the end, nothing special happened. |

When Per goes then there is no stopping. Great work, lovely to see Per working out for Abhishek as well. Isostar office loves Tachira these days.

Congrats Abhishek! Impressive ride by Per there, to be able to hold everybody off like that.
Sucks to have had a rider in that break to only be left behind! Great to see a breakaway win, gives me hope for the rest of the season.

Always like a breakaway win, even better then Abhishek takes one.
For us just a day in the saddle, no gain no loss, sad that all those lazy leader did not lose time

A legend in the making? Great ride from Per, as soon as the word of splits was out, I knew he could make it.
(it's funny because you'd think a peloton in echelons goes faster than on a normal chase, but PCM messes up the relaying so much that it always benefits the break...)

He just didn't! But he DID!! The youngest member of the team taking our first ever win! Congrats to Croatia too on a star for the future. This deal just became so much more special.
Mr. Consistent Kreder with another 7th place giving us a sweet haul of points. Lucky with Bardet not getting a time split again. It looks to be only a matter of time before he's distanced in the GC.
Thanks for the reports SN! And thanks for the wishes everyone.

Nice ride by David Per. Yet again we can rue over a missed breakaway. At least Gaimon didnt get caught in the group that lost time but I have a hard time seeing where we can get anything done now. Also sucks massively to lose Cedric Lebris even thought he wouldnt have been able to do anything on the upcoming stages.

Fantastic wins the past two stages by both jandal and Abhishek's lads! Well done fellas. Xero and Phillips look poised to be two of our biggest competitors throughout the season, and what two great manager to duel with!
Though it would be nice to have had the time gap from this past stage, I'm liking what I'm seeing out of Penasa overall. He seems to be more than keeping up with Valls and Cataldo, and we're hopeful of a big ride later tonight. Bennett, on the other hand, continues to look very strong, but has the Anton question to negotiate with the PCM gods. The bonus seconds from stage 4 could prove decisive in comparison to Valls
Otherwise, Hochmann has certainly exceeded expectations, but Vichot still has a bit to do to live up to his billing. Hopefully he can grab a win in the final stage, but our attentions have turned to the GC. We'll need a 1st or 2nd place finish from Penasa to have any chance of reaching the 10pprd threshold (though last year 12pprd was needed to automatically promote).

Salleh did well to take the points jersey lead, I didn't think the stage would suit him but he team drove the pace on hard all stage and he benefited greatly from it.
It's strange not seeing the gaps giving time gains but it's the same in Qatar, hopefully this doesn't affect the GC race too badly as it would have been more interesting seeing guys having to attack in the mountains to gain back time lost.
Hopefully Anton's GC lead doesn't hamper Bennett in the GC as it would be a shame to see him lose time to protect or help Anton when he should be able to challenge for himself.
