That final kilometer was awesome.
And did the 3 Canondale riders even try to chase? I like how they were sprinting for like the 8th place.

I think Martin/Alaphillipe will lead Ardennes and Gilbert will get a free role like he did here. I tihnk he's better mentally when he can just rides whatever he wants.

Every QuickStep rider is on his contract year, because they dont have a sponsor for 2018 yet

Definitely. hopefully Philbear is also an allowed free role in Ronde. Super strong today, all the work he did and then coming close to beating GVA in the sprint. He will be the most dangerous wild card in De Ronde.
