Stage 5 is the stage for GC leaders and a very big chance to make gaps around your rivals! We start the race with a breakaway, 5 man but includes a nice climber, Yuri Trofimov! The breakaway was nearly cought but Yuri places another attack and survived the peloton before the last climb!

With the steep parts of the climb, here is the first attack! Aru places an attack! Meanwhile, Yuri is cought by the peloton.
LAST 5 K
We can see R.Porte tries to minimize the gap but Aru has already made a nice gap!
LAST 2 K
Porte's attack look succesfull, which he nearly cought Aru! Tejan and Romain also places tries to gain gaps while the punchers Michał, Rui Costa and Spilak are still near them!
FLAMME ROUGE
Aru looks tho he is going to win, Porte tries to pass him, Tejay and Bardet are made themselves a group!

Aru is the winner! Porte comes in second
