Yeah this race is a write off from red bulls point of view. Bewley already is looking powerful God knows what he will do on the cobbled stuff. Strange sprint trains there... Bit weird to see nothing from Bewleys team, just domination from him.
Edmondson currently in best position on GC, that is pretty poor from Cancellara and Holloway

I feel very fooled now.
How can someone like Bos participate in the sprint trains and get a decent 16th while Groenewegen in his 2nd season appearance has not even participated in a sprint yet?
I did not expect to really show something on those stages with 25 better sprinters. But come on. Theo Bos?
At least my GC riders were really well placed, which give me hope of a good GC showing here.
Bewley with the obvious win here.
Pokerstars though must feel bad. They could dominate with their train here. Instead Degenkolb is on his own. They better hope for improvement on the next stage.
Also nice to see Alex Edmondson with a decent result here as 36th for Red Bull.
YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!
Amazing work from Bos in that first stage. Less so in the second, but I'm sure he's just saving himself up for the next stage, or something like that.

Sounds like someone is jealous of Bos's power and skill.

Bewley exactly as dominant as he should be. It leads me to think that the strength of the chasing teams plays a much larger part than it ever did in ensuring that breaks are caught.

Despite of 2nd place on stage 2, my only feeling is big frustration. I can´t get, why Artificial Idiocy don´t allow to build 4 sprint trains when it´s possible. I believe noone in MG history came into stage race with THREE 80+ sprinters before and result? pfff
Unfortunately, ember was right!
Howard as leadout for Bewley is amazing, and makes him the obvious favourite, as I think only Pokerstars can challenge that leadout, but not even sure they will be allowed to form a leadout!

What about Luke Rowe and Adam Blythe for lead out excellence?! So far they've been languising in 100ths places which is of little help to Guarnieri. Flipping stupid AI as usual.

Guardini entered the top40, hoooray!
Thanks for the nice report Rider, but i agree with guys here that PCM lenght system should be used.
When you look at top 10 in first two stages, it is same sprinters taking part in the sprints in both stages, so i fear that it will continue also in next stages and Guradini, Lo Cicero, Napolitano, Groenewengen and few 80+ sprinters that took it easy in fist two stages will continue like that. Hopefully not, but it seems that game chooses same group to take part for whole stage race.
Btw. almost all of these are 75+ in flat, so there is the key i would say.

It's becoming quite clear that Van Avermaet simply isn't good enough as a lead-out on this level. We would probably be better off if Van Stayen just found a wheel on his own.
Fifth isn't too bad though. If we continue to score top five results, we should be quite high in the GC in the end.
Bewley unstoppable again, but still think we have yet to see the best of Swift in this race!

Zabel not strong enough, had the perfect wheel on the first stage but it wasn't enough.
Hopefully he can show up with some wins over the season, should be good in longer races where other sprinters disband

Right, will have to get used to noting the PCM sprinting distances then.
ember - Don't know about that! But, two stages should be up today. |

No hattrick for Bewley here |

Archbold must've crashed...
Great to see someone else than Bewley winning, 8th for Zabel aswell, getting better. Just barely beating Bos though... (Better than finishing behind him)

Wow. Groenewegen with a first sign. Top40.
I guess this time he started the sprint in a top70 position and this way passed lots of riders with higher speed.
Also Sbaragli in the mix. I suppose next year, he could actually be of nice value as high flat seems to be important for sprinters mroe and more.
Bewley quite obvious with a very bad daily form. Not even bonus seconds for him.
Nice win for Swift though.
Thanks for the report. Another one very nice to follow. |

Huge blow for Bewley to not even be in the top 10. The GC is suddenly very exciting again now.
Van Avermaet with maybe a tad better performance today, but didn't look like Van Stayen had the legs. He is okay placed in the GC as per now but I fear we will be passed by a lot of riders in the TT if we don't start to make the podium soon.

Tzortzakis doing well here. With some luck he can keep getting enough seconds to stay around 15-20th in the end. I cant really say how much he will lose on the TT. I guess around 30 seconds or so.
Last season we won a stage here from Koretzky. I guess we have to hope for Coppel to do that this season. Tzortzakis clearly played to his best today.

Something is really really wrong, if game allows to participate guy with FL55 in sprint and he is able to finish inside of TOP10.
Sorry for complaining aka Avin, but this is utter shit.

Bewley with a very bad day and Swift finally taking the win, he look good now. Lagkuti is at least saving this tour for us with his attacking riding. As he snatched some bonus second, he sits in top15 in GC now and given his 75 prologue stat, i hope he can salvage at least decent GC from here, together with Zmorka. But they need to stay in the pack now in every stage.
Guardini is absolutely useless here, back to his 60th place like in first stage.
Thanks for the nice report Rider! And congrats to Vesuvio

And suddenly Swift is the favourite for the overall win, congratulations on the stage, SN!
Bewley obviously the big surprise, and you must ask where his train went after the first stage.
Decent by Kristoff, looks like he isn't better, which makes a 10th place good enough. And great to see Hoelgaard in the breakaway! Hopefully he will keep trying.
Thanks for the report, The Rider |

Even more surprising when majority of top 10 in both first two stages were 75+ riders in flat stat and those who are lower were not even contesting the sprint. Bos with 55 flat should not be even able to finish in pack...
