Roman: Says "I don't have much time to response", proceeds to write one of the longest posts in the history of this site...
I feel like PCT teams already have a hard enough time scoring big in HC races with so many 80+ riders around in this division in basically every specialisation but cobbles...

I'd disagree with Roman. I imagine SN's ideas for a PT/PCT crossover in HC race is similar to PCT/CT crossover in C2 races. Whilst i decided not to go for any of those C2 races several PCT managers did.
Ultimately i feel that did make PCT participation more about EXP gains than actual competition, with any results just being a kind of bonus rather than the reason for participation. If a PT/PCT crossover is introduced in the same format i think it could be lucrative for those teams who would be in relegation trouble.
Save a few race days on a couple of riders for an HC adventure. Less points but it could bag you more than a poor finish in a PT event with said rider. Could really alter the lower battle, especially if it's as close as Rothaus-Volskwagen was this season!
And as it did for PCT teams it can offer up a new development option for talents. Ok a small number of race days might not make a huge difference but it could provide that boost to keep a mid-Lvl talent yourself instead of loaning out. You'd then get to use that talent's skills yourself.

As a PCT team in 2014 I used the CT races strictly at development races for my team. I did not earn many points and was not a serious threat in and of the 3 we attended.
I do not like the idea of allowing high level teams riding down, it will not disturb the balance of play.

Circulo de Juarez is a fantasy race by me. Not sure if there was a similar race in real.
I guess some of those more exotic could easily get "fantasy" but realistic sponsors. |

I think most if not all of them are fantasy races.

Corsica International as far as I can tell this is a fantasy race, however there is going to be this classic so maybe you could take some sponsors from that if you can find more info about it, might have to wait until after the race though.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Tour of the Middle East seeing as this is a fantasy race it might be worth using sponsors linked with the tours of Qatar, Oman and Dubai.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Tour of Eritrea Most recent edition seems to be from 2013, can't find any picture of leaders jerseys though.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Tour of South Africa I can't find anything about this race, might be a fantasy one, if it isn't then Aiden might know something seeing as he races in South Africa, if it is a fantasy one then he could probably recommend sponsors from other South African races he's ridden in to fill the roles.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Tour of Ukraine Can't find any mention of it being a real race, might be a fantasy one.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Tour of Bulgaria can't find any pictures of leaders jersey's but seems to be a real 2.2 UCI race so there's probably some somewhere
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Ruta America del Sur
Circulo de Juarez couldn't find anything on either of these.
Cavendish-Fan wrote:Benelux Challenge I'm 99% certain this is a fantasy race so fantasy sponsors from regions of the route would be best. don't know the route off the top of my head though, ManGame race profiles forum should have stage start and finish towns mentioned so could work it out from that.
hope that helps to some degree

Two of them:
Corsica International: At the end this race is the Criterium International as Cio said.
Tour of the Middle East: It's in the UAE, you could use ones from the Tour of Dubai

For Tour of Ukraine, i would suggest using some of these companies as possible sponsors, as it is fantasy race: (obviously i am not listing Metinvest or Privatbank/Nemiroff)
Naftogaz
Aerosvit

Privatbank could be a sponsor for the Tour of Ukraine, not sponsoring me anymore.

Some weeks ago I posted a doc after crossing the riders nationalities and the "nationality" of the races of the calendar.
I thought it could be nice to tweek a little bit the calendar to give more (or less) race days to the nations depending their weight in the peloton so the national bonuses are better shared.
I think there are some interesting points like Russia for example that having the 3% of all the contracted riders, just a 0.58% of the total race days are in it's soil. This could damage some team like Tinkoff that having a core of Russian riders he cannot get some benefit from it. On the other hand we have more races in USA or France than what it representation needs, so it's "better" to focus on these countries instead to get benefit of the bonus.
I don't know if the other managers feel this could be interesting since I got no feedback the other time. I don't know if this was because it was hidden inside the Questions thread or because, there is no problem at all.
I'm sharing again the link of a small doc I made, and if somebody wants to see more I can share the excel as well.
I have it prepped to, in case is needed to be segmented by divisions.

I don't know, surely it is partially based on where races actually are IRL and thus where stage makers make races.

That is very interesting Donovan. Surely, having a team focusing on small nations is seldom very beneficial for the success, and I think it's okay like it is today. I am more than happy that there is races like Tour of Taiwan etc. but it's good to have a calendar that somehow represents the reality. But i do agree that if there are to be added more races, nations like f.ex Russia which you mentioned should be prioritized. |

I think the MG has a great calendar covering enough races to reprsent nations. Picking a small nation comes with the knowledge and expectation you won't race on home soil a lot. SN does do a good job of trying to give every team a home race though, must be commended.
Russia might have a number of riders under contract but only has one registered team. Whereas France or Spain are registered on a variety of teams. Though perhaps there could be another Russia race... if here was a Russian team outside the PT.

Very interesting numbers in deed. With a short season coming up I doubt this season is the time for adjustements, but if the calendar is expanded a bit again after I think it ould be fair to keep an eye on these stats.
