Not sure if you're trying to be provocative by grouping Eritrea with Jamaica here though, seeing as my PCT team is Eritrean. 36th in the rankings is a whole lot more different to 0 ranking points.
No it doesn't boil down to whether or not I can grasp what people play the game for. I don't need to win every race either. If I didn't I wouldn't have changed my team the way that I did. I have A LOT of races I don't have a chance at winning, and to be honest I am not going to win the World Championships either, and even if I do (Guerao) he will be sold anyway. I just question the fun in having a rider present that will not be mentioned by one word, instead of seeing a fully competitive lineup, and thereby a fantastic read. I like the races where there is full competition, as it tends to be a more interesting race, and that doesn't necessarily mean that I HAVE to have one of the pre race favorites.
And no. I'm not trying to be provocative, eventhough you tend to think of me as a person with no certain objective but to provoke you. If you see the list of teams I have listed, you might notice that the reason I tend to pick Eritrea and China is because they happen to be the highest of the non-leader teams. It doesn't have anything to do with how you vote, or how you manage your team(s). You really have to let that go, when debating. I try to argue about a point of principles, but you keep on dragging it back to it being personal, me being impolite, not improving as a person and what not. And despite of the fact that it is YOU who keep putting things on me as a person, instead of reading what I write, you still have the nerves to question my motives. I honestly find that very unfair SN. I really do.
I don't see that it's necessary to try and guess every scenario for a thread that was intended to add a fun element to the game. I'm not saying I would definitely reject China, but I'd certainly consider it.
I'm probably just a nimwhit, because I am not good at thinking like that. When I see an open vote, I expect it to be completely open, no matter what. If 10 people really wanted to see Honduras race, thus giving them 100 points, well, that is just part of the voting process. I guess I just misinterpreted what was the point of this vote, and for that I apologize. I do, think it adds a bit of extra fun, but I would think that if there was just 15-20 teams to vote for anyway. I'm not trying to spoil the fun, but merely to tweak the rules for the upcoming season, if people wanted that - That is. It is an open debate, and I'm sorry that you feel I do it to piss you off, because that was never the intention. And I'm sorry I didn't wait until the voting was over to bring it up. That was a mistake. I see that now.

Just as a final thing. I think it could be fun to make a Free Agent world championships, where the best riders not going down in stats where there to fight it out. It would make for an interesting battle between those without a contract, and that might make them interesting to the teams in the off-season. (This doesn't have anything to do with anything else, though, but while we were talking about adding some fun to the game, I though about this).

Way to overreact There was nothing personal in my last post, at least not intended. All I've said in this thread are my reasons for doing things. I've not got remotely close to being pissed off, because that would just be stupid. No need to confuse a long post with anger.
I was simply responding to the fact that you specifically said "I don't understand why anyone would vote for Eritrea." While the very first post in this thread was me giving my top vote to Eritrea, because for me it would be very cool to see them involved. I don't give a damn if their best rider finishes 110th.
And yeh, I don't see how anyone could not understand my reason for doing that, unless all they care about is performance/winning. Note that I didn't directly accuse you of that, hence the "whether or not" part.

Fair enough. I guess I misinterpreted your post then. I guess that is the problem with text, and more specifically, foreign text
And alright. I just didn't understand why people would be interested in seeing a rider finish 110th. Most of those riders have 85-120 racedays pr. season so I though one could get fed up with seeing them in 110th place
And the reason for picking Eritrea has got nothing to do with your team. As far as I can tell you only have 4 Eritrean riders (atleast the ones not loaned out), and only 1 of those have anything resembling quality (here and now), and he is a climber.
I'll let it go now, and accept the fact that it is all going according to plan, and I just didn't exactly agree with how people spent their votes. And that it is all up to them to vote for whatever they want

Ah, but none of those 85-120 race days are the World Championships! Well, Afewerki will be 77 Sprint one day Plus I just realised that I've accidentally set him up to be 85 Recovery. Was probably meant to be 77 Rec and 70 Res, not 85 Rec and 62 Res, but too late now

You may drop him in the renewals so that we can adjust his stats

Yeah, so when the Worlds are in a flat route two years from now, and Eritrea is qualified, you won't here me complain
You need to sell him to the PT so he can ride some Grand Tours with that recovery.
