Great job by Venter twice in a row! Going for breakaways is part of our team strategy. Nice to see it pay off.

Anyway, nice reports and pace, Gusta! Metinvest to finally save themselves from relegation, if Popo won't crash.
Dont even say these two words in one sentence, i would rather see the nursery school burned down.
Popo still 2nd and that is great, now one more transition stage where possible break needs to be managed and then two major stages, looking forward to them, i like the reports very much so far!
Congrats to Swedbank, i love Skujins as the rider, he can be big target for Metinvest in years to come, if he should ever leave Vesuvio after his loan return.

2 stage wins so far, thats good but had hope for better positions in the GC atleast before stage 9.
Thanks Avin, Skujins is very happy at Swedbank so if he ever leaves Vesuvio permanent sometime he already have a favourite team to go to, but I guess money talks |

Another good breakaway effort from Kudus, it would be great if he could grab the mountains jersey although it could be tough. |

Ok, this is starting to look decent. If Uran performs on the mountain stage (like he should), he'll have a really good shot at the overall win with the long time trial coming up. Looking forward to tommorows stage!

My team working wonders in this HC race for me. A 4th on a stage and two second places, a bit unlucky that neither Sabido or Arredondo were able to finish with a victory.
Julian David Arredondo in provisional 5th place is just amazing. If he can hold onto that then it would be truly fantastic with two others around 20th place. Even a Top 10 would be amazing but keeping in mind he knows how to win (can't TT for his life though)

Still no breakaway in a race, where we don't stand any chance for scoring good results on another way
Never really looked forward to this race, but this is too invisible Ozzies. Don't expect huge things for the TT either, just hoping at least Koren will limit the damage. Too far down the rankings he is, though..

Wow, I didn't see Wang coming back there. Very delightful victory for our team!
There haven't been much else to celebrate this season, so I guess we'll have a proper party tonight. |

Gratz, Kami! Nice to see Uran delivering!
O'Brien did well, but this won't go as i wanted the race to go Koren giving up on the GC is horrible, guess he may at least be a factor in the TT. Don't think he stands a chance for a stage-win though.. Not sure about the TT-stats, but i guess O'Brien should lose his 13th pace easily. Still, at least he did quite well.
Euskaltel though... Huge.

Oh wow, this looks awesome. Uran has the best TT stat out of all the favourites, and after that it's a flat stage, so it's looking really good for Uran. I'm also surprised with Ibarguren having a very good and consistent race. Nice surprise that he's in a 12th place after 9 stages.

It will be interesting to see what happens in this chrono. I suspect the GC guys will comfortably beat the chrono specialists but we shall see.
Uran has been solid in the hills and came good when he had too, defiant stuff from gutsy Cataldo though.

Really nice attacking race by the team here with Durasek in the break going for KOMS and Warbesse riding a really good race to still be in the top 30 i'm very happy with there efforts. |

Not enough gaps in the hill stages for Bibby, but looks like a podium is on for sure given Cataldo's TT stat, and probably a 2nd overall is in reach too. Great to see Morton climb up to 15th place too.
Bacardi's promotion hopes will be hugely helped by Uran, surely about to win GC.
And yes, Euskaltel have really benefited from some surprise rides - like Infantino - and a relatively weak field for a HC race. If they can have 2 in the Top 10 after the TT, then that should be quite a lot of promotion helping points for them.

Euskaltel really are the breakaway team of the Man Game of late. This race looked like it could have given them 20 points max but they are set for well over 100 points thanks to attacking at the right time.
Fintas must be fuming seeing his team perform in comparison to Euskaltel. Especially when Karcher had three riders who were capable of finishing in the top 10 and Karpets being a real podium hope.
Great pace Gustav. |

Another 2nd place
So close to a stage win.
6th and 8th in GC so hopefully won't lose too much time in the TT. This race could be massive for us!

I think Compal have more wins this season than us.
Looks like I brought the wrong rider to this race. I figured the hills would suit Efimkin but he's done nothing, apart from lose any hopes of a Top 15 by being awful on the mountain stage. I really didn't expect this race to go this badly. Its a lot of race days, and we are going to take nothing from it.
Great reports as always though!
