What is it with you and the junior level girls?
She is a great talent at the moment but i was more interested in White (USA 5th), Lowther (GBR 7th) and Cole (USA 15th) as i know more about them. IT must be said the English speaking world is really rather good in the Womens cycling world atm.

Ryan Mullen started a few minutes ago in the rain of Ponferrada, hoping for a medal. Can someone post his result here once he's come through?

I think U 2 are talking about different kind of talent

mullen is leading at the first checkpoint. he is the only rider that break the 14 min mark with 13:42:47
edit: mullen is still leading at the second checkpoint but lost some time to current leader reis who had very good last kilometers

Got back to it now.
Mullen is still first at the first check, 20 (!) seconds ahead of Campbell Flakemore.
EDIT: All riders passed the first check, Mullen still leading.

Not a surprise! He is in incredible shape after TDB. Though, incredible times, beating Flakemore by 20 secs is very very good (and it is an intermediate, still)

The "real time splits", or whatever exactly they're called, give Mullen at -0:30 min now. Küng slowing a bit, though Reis looks to have set a good time.

Totally forgot about Kung! Then, this gives another reason to realize how Mullen was good

Is Mullen the guy who won the NC but didn't get it since he was a junior?

Didn't get the U23 awarded though as he was U23. Did get the RR though.
Anyway, he arrived in, crushing Reis' time by about 0:20
Now, got to wait and hope...

Tragedy.
But well, he's got two more years to go, and was the real performance of the day, so very nearly beating top favourite Flakemore.

Then, results of the day:
2 victories for Australia, and, more precisely, for Tasmania
