I think Boasson Hagen demanded salary that was too high (considering his current performance) even for Tinkov and that's the reason of his tweet.

Boasson Hagen does not deserve more than basic salary, for what he is doing in last two years. So maybe he thinks he is some kind of cycling superstar, which he actually isnt? (at least outside of Norway).

In other news, Kreuziger is awaiting the CAS verdict about his supension, which he and his lawyer see as not rightful. The verdict should come this Wednesday, August 20th. He believes that ban will be lifted and he will ride the Vuelta. Well, everybody can believe in Utopia.

Either that, or they were first in talks for EBH to become (sorta) spring classics leader but all support goes to Sagan. Now maybe Tinkov thought the deal was already sealed for good money, but whatever.

Totally agree with you on this, Boasson Hagen never delivers the results when put in to great positions and as such doesn't warrant a place on a WT team (thats only my opinion though). |

Don't know if this is the right place to post it, but:

Always interesting, not the best I have read from him, but it's nice to have a look into the cycling world
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Was an interesting read, especially as he makes his views clear on some things but when it comes to doping etc the line is toed as always... it's the same old stuff - someone gets caught: Oh yeah, we knew about him from the start - "I just knew because of the way he was annihilating everyone else in the races that he was up to his eyeballs on EPO." but then when asked about anyone who isn't then they're all happy and clean and life's all wonderful:
Nobody at this year’s Tour stood out to me like that. I think you can safely say that the majority of peloton is clean now. There are always grey areas and people will try to push the limits, but I don’t think anyone can get away with flat out cheating anymore. Even Nibali winning by eight minutes — if Contador and Froome were there it would have been a battle of seconds.
Can't really blame him I suppose, even in an anonymous article you wouldn't call Nibbles out as being doped to the eyeballs at this point, but it just feels like they're making sure everyone knows about how clean the peloton is and have been told to say this by higher beings to make sure nobody is under any negative illusions. Of course it's the same old thing that everyone says all the time but I just find it extremely grating.

UKAD have released their findings on Tiernan-Locke. They haven't accepted his defence that the anomaly was due to having been seriously on the piss, and have banned him through the whole of 2015.
Story here - https://www.ukad.o...al-cyclist
Full text of the decision here - https://www.ukad.o...ion/a/6605
(Warning - last link automatically downloads the PDF; I'm not sure where else the full text is) |

Kelderman will lead Belkin's 2015 TdF
He'll have a similar schedule to Mollema's 2014 schedule. That probably means he'll ride Ardennes, which is interesting.

CAS rejects Kreuziger ban appeal. Massive blow for Tinkov and Kreuziger who expected the ban to be overturned. And a "win" for UCI.

I'm more and more convinced such things should have some due date for raising. Seriously, UCI - if you can't stand your ground fast enough, what's the point of prosecuting someone who does not raise any suspicions currently. As far as I know and as far as the news are arriving there are no official doubts about his current performance, right?

To prove that if you have cheated no matter when it was you will get caught and be punished, they can't just let it go
