Weird riding today from Europcar. Five guys in the chasing group and at one point only 40 seconds behind... big waste of energy is what that is.
Great ride by Martin, but rather dull stage today.

No he can't, Kadri and De Marchi will be tied once De Marchi crosses in 2nd
Yes he can and will. He's one point behind, will at least make that up on the cat3 climb now and is tied with De Marchi, but has won the higher ranked climb with the cat1 right now, which is what I think decides who gets to wear it in case of a tie.
For some reason I forgot about the last little climb so my mistake there guys

Yup, nowhere near. Would have to be in the vicinity of 45 minutes.

What is the point in waiting till the last stage before the Alps to give
yellow when you can do it quite easily on many lumpy and cobbled stages?

Rodriguez catches de Marchi (according to ticker) and takes the 2nd place over Grand Ballon so Martin definitely wins the KoM?

Gallopin is not a climber and really can't be compared with Periero, sure he is a punchy rider but will easily lose 30 + minutes in every real mountain stage
Are you kidding? 30+ minutes pr. mountainstage?
He was recently 27th in the Dauphine, losing 24 minutes on Talansky. There he was a helper for van den Broeck.
He lost 1 minute on the first mountainstage that was won by Froome, he lost 4½ minute on the second mountainstage (3 minutes on the favorites). Had he not lost 12 minutes on the final stage, where he sat up, he would have been around 20th GC, with several riders similar to what is present at the Tour.
Also he was 10th at the Paris-Nice, which was not quite as mountainous, but still more than just "punchy".
Gallopin clearly won't be a threat to the GC, but giving him the yellow jersey could mean that he will stay somewhere aroung top 15 imo.

Now I don't know whether he means buisness and wants to chase Gallopin group or just wants a head start |

German commentators say Pinot is suddenly confident of his descending skills and wants to open a gap.
I say he's so unsure he doesn't dare to ride inside the peloton and maybe merely avoids to even get dropped then.

Actually, it is not determined by the GC standings. Tony would have won it, but that is because he was first over the cat 1 climb. |

Yes I am serious. Paris-Nice was not more than a punchy race, look at the route and you will see no mountains whatsoever, Rojas finished 4th overall, Vichot in 3rd. The Dauphine is not raced the same as a GT and yes he did well but still lost 12 minutes on the last stage and 24 in total and it is a 1 week race. He is a talented rider but yellow or not he will lose a huge amount of time and won't finish top 20, he will try and defend the jersey and by the time the real mountains come he will be running on empty.

Stop being a vibe killer and learn to read the thread, strydz has already corrected his mistake, and besides - who cares about some little misinformation?
