couldn't you left Froome out of Down Under
8 races, with Froome to mark presence, I'm screwed

@tsmoha Well it suits him quite well, so sorry
@cio93 It really is the best picture I could find
I hope so too, I don't want to compete with the beast
@FroomeDog99 I am glad!
Strade Bianchi doesn't seem too be selective enough at times so it was too big of a risk, same with Bongo, Armee won it last year ( ) so decent hill and sprint will do ,but that suits Ben Hassen well.
Bejing and South Africa are HC band we missed, but ZLM was too risky too, it wasn't selective last year, but with that sprint Hassen should do well again.
@fintas Well...I hope you do well 8 is not bad, could have been worse I guess.

Gautier is in everyone one of Froome's races except Mallorca. That won't be fun for me... |

Don't worry guys Bellis is in SterZLM to take the win
And Froome in Plouay is the only surprise? |

You will obviously have to compete with him sooner or later if you stay in PT, but you might have to expect him to be one level above Froome AND Vantomme sooner or later

I test raced a couple of those and in PCM13 they make gaps, especially Strade Bianchi. It's definitely a more selective game this year.
I look forward to seeing Marquez and Vantomme's calendars. |

@jt1109 Good race for him, should do rather well! Well Plouay as previous results suggest was quite selective, bar last year. And with acceleration working properly again I am hopeful it could lead to a good race.
@cio93 Don't get all dreamy here
@FroomeDog99 That's quite nice, should make for great races. Gisborne always suited Froome better for us. And hopefully Maar and Baugnies could take some points due to high flat and stamina there If PCM delivers Hassen could be a very good rider this season, Top 10 even with some luck.

Dayum, not looking forward to seeing Froome at Onda-Boavista.
Otherwise we won't meet him at all and your whole team quite often, so i can wish you all the more luck!

Another vital component we missed last season was presence in sprints - and this has now been fixed with Maxime joining our team. He's one of the best in the division, although with increased competition he'll find it tougher to repeat his success from last year. However we feel he has a reasonable chance of good results helping us to propel into that Top 5 we need to promote.

Marquez is one of our leaders from previous season, Marquez had a pretty spectacular year with stage race wins in Tachira and Japan among other results. This year we don't expect similar results since Florentino will be entering many HC races with highest degree of competition, however we still believe he can deliver a very nice amount of points for himself and the team.

Small mistake: Österreich is most definitely not C1 Asia
Another sprinter dodged in Interlagos, I start to like that decision

Hmm,are you sure ? The name looks Asian to me
Good decision indeed, I'd choose it too, but the Dutch Classic is longer which should benefit Vantomme since not many sprinters have great stamina compared to him. Ciolek is definitely looking to dominate the division, but it will be interesting with many top names.

Thankfully it isn't Asian, or securing the Top spot in the Asian ranking for Meiji would be a lot more difficult I reckon
I tried to send ILC and DN (writing both names out gets tedious) both to Dutch Food Valley Classic but later found out the Interlagos GP was on the same day, so I had to split them up

Tour Down Under
Team line-up:
Chris Froome | Pieter Serry | Marc De Maar | Andoni Blazquez | Enrico Barbin | Pavel Potocki | | Bryan Coquard |
With the opening of the season we wanted to begin the season with a bang and brought one of our big leaders in Chris Froome to lead the team. Along Serry, Maar and Blazques we brought the support the necessary to help Chris and make the racing tough when necessary. In Coquard we brought a glim sprinter hope, but we really don’t expect much results.
The race started well for the team keeping out of trouble for the first few days and keeping Chris at front of the race, and when the queen stage came he struck hard taking the team first stage win and with it the GC lead which he’d have to relinquish on the last day. 2nd in GC is better than expected though and the team is happy with the efforts, a nice way to begin the promotion push.
The stars of race however was Micheal Van Stayen, who dominated the sprint stages taking 3 wins and by staying with best on the queen stage winning the GC by two seconds over Froome.
Stage Winners
Stage 1 | Michael Van Stayen | Venchi - Ferranti | Stage 2 | Michael Van Stayen | Venchi - Ferranti | Stage 3 | Marco Minnard | Team Gezelle | Stage 4 | Matthew Goss | Oz Cycling Project | Stage 5 | Chris Froome | Quickstep | Stage 6 | Michael Van Stayen | Venchi - Ferranti |
General Classification

Tour of South China
Our first sprinter classic is bit of an unknown. With each lap containing a small hill it might cause Vantomme slight problems, but having ridden on the course we feel that Vantomme should not be disadvantaged by it. We bring a very strong team around him knowing in past few years breakaway have made it to the end. Top 5 is the goal if the race doesn't get too challenging.
Maxime Vantomme | Leader | Tom Van Asbroeck | Leadout | Gianni Meersman | Leadout | Bryan Coquard | Leadout | Wouter Wippert | Domestique | Geert Steurs | Domestique | Kenneth Vanbilsen | Domestique |
Tour of Oman
Tour of Oman is another unknown for us, while Marquez should be one of the best on the queen stage, we are slightly worried about the hilly stages present, however hopefully he can safely navigate them with a strong support behind him. Asbroeck comes as our sprinter , however no results are expected of him and just hope he gains experience. Top 5 in GC is another goal, but with the hilly stages present we are not sure what to expect.
Florentino Marquez | Leader | Tom Van Asbroeck | Sprinter | Julien Berard | Domestique | Andoni Blazquez | Domestique | Yoan Barbas | Domestique | Zico Waeytens | Domestique | Pavel Potocki | Domestique |
Vuelta a Mallorca
Another race. Different leader. This time coming from Tour Down Under success is Chris Froome. With a stage win and a podium on GC in Tour Down Under our hilly season began quite well and we hope to continue in that manner. We expect a tough field, but Top 3 should be the goal. However stage 3 looks bit unpredictable and depending how it goes we could achieve somewhere between winning or finishing around 10th. Stil we expect to score some decent points. The two flat stages suit Coquard abilities, but we again don't expect anything from him.
Chris Froome | Leader | Bryan Coquard | Sprinter | Pieter Serry | Deluxe - Domestique | Sander Armee | Domestique | Enrico Barbin | Domestique | Kristoffer Skjerping | Domestique | Wouter Wippert | Domestique |
Bhair Dar
Our first cobbled classic of the season. Last year we completed our first goal here by a slim margin, this year there is no goal, but we expect another strong showing. Podium is the goal. Steurs and Vanbilsen will likely be on attack, with Baugnies following the right wheels and preserving energy for the finale.
Jerome Baugnies | Leader | Geert Steeurs | Co - Leader | Kenneth Vanbilsen | Domestique | Gianni Meersman | Domestique | Tom Van Asbroeck | Domestique | Zico Waeytens | Domestique | Adoni Blazquez | Domestique |
Dwars Door Vlaanderen
Following Bahir Dar, Dwars follows. Our home classic will be targeted in a similar fashion to Bahir Dar, we expect attacks from likes of De Maar and Vanbilsen and Baugnies to follow the right wheels. Top 3 is the goal, but if it isn't as selective as we hope for, Top 5 will please us.
Jerome Baugnies | Leader | Geert Steeurs | Co - Leader | Kenneth Vanbilsen | Domestique | Marc de Maar | Domestique | Gianni Meersman | Domestique | Tom Van Asbroeck | Domestique | Zico Waeytens | Domestique |
Strade Bianche
Strade is a race in which we don't come with a clear leader. Baugnies and Maar should enjoy the undulating terrain and the long distance to give them the edge, however its unlikely they can follow the top puncheurs here. We hope for a similar outcome where De Maar got 4th due to his great attacks last year. However Top 15 is the goal this time round.
Jerome Baugnies | Co - Leader | Marc de Maar | Co - Leader | Geert Steeurs | Domestique | Kenneth Vanbilsen | Domestique | Gianni Meersman | Domestique | Zico Waeytens | Domestique | Enrico Barbin | Domestique | Kristoffer Skjerping | Domestique |
Gisborne GP
Our last race in the month and the only one I feel confident we should be winning. Chris Froome on paper is the best puncheur in the division and winning this race should show a statement. We will be happy with a podium, but with decent support for Chris, we come to win.
Chris Froome | Leader | Pieter Serry | Deluxe - Domestique | Sander Armee | Domestique | Adoni Blazquez | Domestique | Julien Berard | Domestique | Yoann Barbas | Domestique | Pavel Potocki | Domestique |
Overall, should be a very important month for us in which we should score rather well hopefully, Strade Bianche is the only race without a clear leader, but Tour of South China and Oman are bit of small unknowns too. Anyhow the team is pretty excited and really for the upcoming challenges.

Possible winners in every single race.
You have an incredibly strong squad and huge talents to keep this for years to come.
Quite interested to see what Vantomme can do this year for you. |

Tour of South China Sea
Team line-up:
Maxime Vantomme | Kenneth Vanbilsen | Geert Steurs | Gianni Meersman | Wouter Wippert | Bryan Coquard | Tom Van Asbroeck |
The second race of the season, and another in Asia, this time in China. It was the first race for our next star in the team, Maxime Vantomme, but due to the profile we didn't expect much from his race, it was always going to be a gamble. However in case everything went to plan we brought a very strong team.
Constant attacking on the undulating caused several strong riders to break away and it lead to unorganized chase profiting the break away from which Rob Partridge took advantage and a great win for a CT team.
Maxime sprinted to a disappointing 24th place. He clearly didn't have the legs on that day, not the best start to his career in our team, but we hope for better days to come. He will now take a month rest, and train to begin his real season in Belgium at Driedaagse de Panne.

Tour of Oman
Team line-up:
Florentino Marquez | Julien Berard | Andoni Blazquez | Yoann Barbas | Zico Waeytens | Pavel Potocki | Tom Van Asbroeck |
We didn’t know what to expect from Oman much. We had a strong team behind Marquez, but few stages weren’t best suited to him, meanwhile only one stage we knew he would excel at. With few strong riders present a podium or top five was viewed as our target before the race.
Stage 1 started well with Marquez finishing 15th in a bunch sprint won by Hutarovich from BelarusBank Pro Cycling. Marquez took it step higher on the next stage winning a sprint from select bunch showing his superior form here. On stage 3 we took it easy ahead of the key stage culminating at Green Mountain. Marquez proved unstoppable taking another huge win as well as taking overall lead. Through the next two stages our team controlled the stages brilliantly, positioning Marquez in the right places at the right times meaning at the end without much trouble Marquez took the overall classification by over a minute.
With that comes a points jersey, king of mountain jersey and excellent performance from our youngster Zico Wayetns on 16th in the overall GC. We have impressively managed to score over 360 points in a single race, making our points per race day here standing at 60.5!
Stage Winners
Stage 1 | Yauheni Hutarovich | BelarusBank Pro Cycling | Stage 2 | Florentino Marquez | Quickstep | Stage 3 | Tomas Vaitkus | Privatbank - Nemiroff | Stage 4 | Florentino Marquez | Quickstep | Stage 5 | Meiyin Wang | Compal-Merida | Stage 6 | Mohammad Senan | Compal-Merida |
General Classification | 1 Florentino Marquez | Quickstep | 21h11'56 | 2 Ryan Eastman | Heineken-Cal Giant | + 1'07 | 3 Vladimir Karpets | Karcher-Adira | + 1'11 | 4 Dario Cataldo | Magna - Ryanair | + 1'21 | 5 Rigoberto Úran | Bacardi Limited | + 1'48 | ... | 16 Zico Waeytens | Quickstep | + 8'48 | 35 Andoni Blazquez | Quickstep | + 11'01 | 38 Julien Berard | Quickstep | s.t. | 55 Tom Van Asbroeck | Quickstep | + 15'56 | 78 Yoann Barbas | Quickstep | + 18'13 | 91 Pavel Potocki | Quickstep | + 21'08 |
This also means that over 14 race days in our 3 races this season we have already got 500 points on board. A great start, it will be hard to keep it up, but we will try!

Great win from Marquez, it seems that his attacking spirit and enormous acceleration are making wonders for Quickstep. Congrats, you are going straight near the top, where everyone would expect you.
