True. Never understood the startlists.
Sauber here is the best example.
You were quite unlucky with im in those two stages.
I will probably play the next and first mountain stage later this evening. But I actually hope for Stetina to show something. |

Congrats valv, great win by Zaini. I suspect we'll be hearing from him again later in the Tour.
It's strange, though, to see Nicácio almost winning a hilly stage, where he usually loses time, and then getting gaped in a plain-rated hilly stage. This PCM works in mysterious ways sometimes.
Anyway with 1st week gone it's time for the MTF's. Can't wait for the 2nd week, it's going to be exciting! Keep up the great reports roturn

Sorry Heine.
Don`t know why he is that weak. Some for Krasnoperov.
Meiji with good stage results so far even though they were very close to 2 more wins, which seems very unlucky. |

Really intense stage! Really happy that Ardila didn't crash out of the GC competition. And Paulinho was really impressive this stage. Either that, or the pace was a bit lower than expected. Congrats to Hollister, but Meiji deserved it more, I think. (I may be slightly biased. )

Guess that's okay from Peraud. If he keeps that level, he may remain in good position for the stages, that suit him more. Was hoping for our other riders to go for a mid-stage-break, well, maybe next time definitely need more single stage's Top-3s to score points.
Great report, interesting stage!

I'm not surprised Awang failed to make the cut today, we were expecting hi to be OOT in teh first mountains.
still I'm a little disappointed with Jiriakov, thought he would be able tohold on for abit longer then that but I'm guessing he must have had bad positioning in the bunch when the split happened.

Intense stage. Nice to see the mountains doing their job here.
Again tough luck for Meiji. They should have a hat-trick by now. That bold escapade of Stetina deserved more, but at least it's good to see he's alive, as opposed to Krasnoperov and Ratiy. Seriously what's wrong with those two?
I'm a bit sad about Carvalho leaving the race, but at least Nicácio is still in contention for a good result. Also great performances by Vrecer! Tremendous results he's getting for Mobil.

Oh Vrecer, if you mantain this, I'll love you forever...
EDIT: Only hell, and with some TT's to go, top 5 might be achievable.

Meiji really making the most out of this race without an obvious leader for the overall podium. Well done and congrats! Thanks for the reports as well.
Interesting to see Kiserlovski being stronger than Kashechkin, that could give us some interesting mountain stages to come. |

Nice to see Jiriakov gain back some time and jump back up to 20th, doubt he'll stay there long though with Stetina still behind him.

Still okay, Peraud. Just do the same on all mountains and i'll be fine
Would love to see a stage-win though it's been a while since an Ozzie crossed a line as first in a road race, which is a shame, isn't it?

Nice stage by Cabreira, I need him to be always well in the mountains to get something good.
Win more than deserved to Stetina

You dont want to know the things I was shouting when I read that Stetina was passed just before the line on Stage 8.
What a crazy race though, for him to do the exact same thing the next day, but this time end up winning! I cant imagine how happy I'd be feeling if these breakaways all ended up as wins or atleast for Stetina to get 2 wins in a row! They were all so close, but so far its been great!

Boy, the next ranking update wont be fun!
Very disappointing to have Dyachenko lose time in the hills, while riders with weaker HI stat held on. Looks like even a top 10 overall in the end will be difficult...
Amazing pace with the reports, though!
