Thanks for the report! Good job by Jaramillo, climbing to 25th overall
Hope he will be able to defend his position. |

Nice job Mr. Stybar. Solid lead in mountain competitions. Some points in the end of the race from him would be at least a decent compensation for Henao's bad results, even he is probably riding injured though.

Very exciting stage. Amador is right where he needs to be for the GC and points jersey.

Who would've thought the CT sprinter team Puma leads the team classification of the hardest non-GT PT stage race just one year later?
Very happy with Pozzo's performance so far (thanks Pelli ), Nerz looks to be injured or just severely underperforming.
It'll be very important to keep up on the tough slopes in the middle of the climb tomorrow. Not much of a separation should be possible afterwards with this tight field.

Sella continues to plug away, I sense some more ground can be made up here. Bug results for Puma though VdB is proving invaluable.

Amazing performance by Campero, again.
Hopeless performance by Chris Anker, again.
Shitty performance by Fothen, again.
Atleast you can count on your riders to perform the same, every time.

Great racing from Jaramillo, really nice to see him try his luck in a mid-stage move.
Interesting fight for the GC aswell, VDB's sprint stat might prove handy. |

This must be the longest race in the history of the Man-Game. If the pace keeps up it will take a little under 2 months to complete.
My patience has gotten significantly better with age, but this is a bit too much I think.

Because of narrow road problems this stage will replace the normal stage 9. The final climb isn't as steep as initially but any climb that steep has narrow roads..

Dont worry, Burgos race will be even longer.
Guys are probably very busy and narrow roads phobia makes it even harder to complete.
SN was las time online here on October,15th, i hope he is okay.

It speaks volumes doesn't it that when SN isn't actively leading it, the man game doesn't run as smoothly.
I would, personally, love to help out more if I had the time and the game, but, as I have neither, I don't even attempt to offer my help any more. Whether that puts me in the position where I can't speak out when something annoys me is a matter I'll leave up to others to care about, because I'm going to say my opinion anyway.
This is rubbish. I am well aware of real life getting in the way. I am well aware of how sometimes playing the games can be less enjoyable and seen as a chore rather than fun. But there are ways around those issues, such as putting the save game up in the reporters forum for someone else to finish off for you.
Don't commit to something if you can't see it through within a reasonable time frame. My private rant in the reporters forum clearly didn't have any impact, so I've gone public.
(Normally I'd write things like this, and end up deleting them before posting something stupid, but this is how much it's hacking me off.)

Roturn had a chat with SN a few days/weeks ago. He's pretty busy, iirc.
And his disappearance has nothing to do with this Colombia-issue. In this particular case, i can get your frustration, rjc, but that's no reason to call it rubbish or stuff. A ManGame-season is quite long and there have always been some breaks because of the few reporters being busy. You say you are aware of that. I wonder if you're pissed off the general speed in the ManGame this year or just this race here? We had times with a good pace, and times with less reports a week/month. And the managers did take their "timeouts" as well, it's not always the reporters to blame for.

No, from what I can read at Twitter he is alive (assuming his phone wasn't stolen plus the robber is also very interested in track cycling) and he deserves every free time for all the work he does here which is really a lot.
So it shouldn't be always dependant on only one shoulder.
(T)here are 2 things:
1. Well everyone puts his name forward for a race so the one starting a race should finish it.
So Spilak should finish it but since Spilak wasn't online since 28th of October well what else can we do than wait for him to appear because just he has got the race/save game?
Spilak is also in Uni so has also a time problem.
2. The man-game wants to avoid narrow roads on crucial parts of a stage if not avoid it in general.
So it's also dependant on the stage maker if he is available and got the stage files or change the stage to a similar-ish one.
That is also something that leads to some delays.
Well if it's just for this one ok but shouldn't become a regular (stage race needing 2 months).
Diffrent problem is also pretty much everyone who can report or let's say are allowed to have also a lot to do with University (roturn/SN/Spilak for example).
I am happy that the man-game exists and there were times where it was rocking (fast) and sometimes where it was a bit slow with the progress. This is also a part of the man-game (to wait/being patient sometimes).
EDIT: tsmoha pretty much Zabel'd me even with the rather big minute diffrence, need to think a lot before clicking "Post"

What i miss, is some sort of info for man game managers. I think we are a nice community with (online) friendship in general, so why is the problem to speak openly with others?
I think 100% of people in the man game appreciates what SN does for us all, majority of people are also giving him that credit in public here, heck he deserves it. But my problem with him is honestly zero cummunication with managers, who are not reporters. We have no right to issue the gameplay problems, we have no right to know if someony is busy for two months.
I think coming here and writting " I will be off for two months, i have loads of uni work" would cost a two minutes of time and we would encourage him to take his time, because we all know that there are more important things than MG.
But all we got is "Stop that bitching" from reporters side (did not remember who adressed LLSs question as bitching) when somebody asks.
I will wait years for next report if it is the case, i just love the game (however PCM is trying to ruin that with every new edition). But a bit more of communication outside of the reporters forum would be nice, or at least let us know that we are not worth it, as the non-reporters. As we are not worth to influence the choice of PCM edition or other things...

I realize that I have only posted it in the reporter forum.
As Tsmoha said, I had Skype contact with SN recently and he is very busy right now.
Burgos for that reason is queued a bit until he finds time to report it again.
For Colombia I don`t know where Spilak is. I guess, he has time issues as well and was unfortunately disturbed by some narrow road issues here.
To not slow down the Man Game too much I talked with SN and we decided to go one with the other races, that are reported right now: Rio, Vineyards, Hellas, Baltic Chain and soon also Avenir.
So the Man Game is at the moment back on track with Burgos and Colombia being the exception.
Unfortunately CountArach, Smowz or mb have less time this year to report in total but therefore we have other new reporters like FroomeDog, Spilak or niconico, who did support the reporter team in a very good way.
The text became a bit longer than I wanted.
But it`s hopefully the needed information. |
