Which was probably to be expected if the peloton want to avoid a repeat of a breakaway victory on\over the Mont Ventoux. The gap has now reportedly grown out to about 50" after the peloton caught the 13 riders attempting to bridge across. |

The Radioshack rider is not Monfort but Irizar

Yeah they seem to have corrected that later. They do love getting the Radioshack riders mixed up . |

Gap grown out to almost 1'30" now, as Burghardt attacks from the peloton in an attempt to join the breakaway for BMC. He is currently roughly stuck in the middle of the two groups at the moment. |

He is joined by Christophe Le Mevel apparently. With Burghardt still stuck in between the breakaway and the attacks behind him.
Edit #1: Mikel Astarloza goes on to the attack for Euskaltel-Euskadi as well now! Even though they already have one rider in the front group.

Chaz-patat maybe for Rolland if he doesn't get closer soon. |

Apparently the French .fr ticker is saying Le Mevel and the English .com ticker is saying Taaramae. |

My ticker says Le Mevel, Rolland and Burghardt are almost at the front group, only 40 secs left. |

I would imagine the break would significantly prefer it if Rolland didn't catch them.

Though, the peloton keep letting the gap grow regardless. Must be feeling confident they can reel everyone one in once the tough stuff begins, even if the gap grows over 7'00". |

Plus every single Dutch member here, as Poels is probably the strongest climber up there.

Yeah, he really should have the stage in a big if they can hold Rolland off. He would have the polkadot jersey as well.
EDIT: But they are letting Rolland catch.

Thought the breakaway were holding Rolland and Burghardt off there for a while, and then the gap got updated to under 30 seconds (at 28" currently). So it may be touch and go as to whether they catch the breakaway yet. |

Hah, now Europcar chasing unless the break lets Rolland join.

Wait for his win on Ventoux.
I love these attacks from him, that is why they saved themselves yesterday probably. He should win the sprint at foot of Ventoux and fight till the last breath.

Rolland was 20secs behind them one time, great from break to reflect that in speed and counter his chances. Poels should be very happy, even Sagan can hold there longer without Rolland.
