Thanks a lot everyone, and sorry for the wait on the next update.
March 1st, 2013
So, Im back this month, after last month decided to just have a Monthly Review. This month however, I've decided to return to my actual blog writing, but will still try my best to summarise the bigger races from the month of February, but first lets start with myself!
Last month was really good I think. In Oman I had a few Top 10's and ended up 14th overall in the race, which can only be considered a good result this early into the season, and the team managed to grab a stage win and a Top 10. Omloop also went really well for the team, thanks to Sebastian Turgot who finished 3rd in one of the biggest Cobblestone races of the season. I was also happy with my own performance, as I finished in the same group as Fabian Cancellara, in 39th!
This month was a pretty light racing schedule for me, but in the coming months, I will be getting a lot more race days, building up form to the Nationals and Tour de France, where I hope to be in my best form of the season.
Other results around the cycling world this month include:
Race - Winner
Tour of Qatar - Mark Cavendish
Tour Mediteraneen - Christophe Riblon
Tour du Haut Var - Giovanni Visconti
Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne - Fabian Cancellara
There are rumours rumbling around that Lotto Belisol are interested in signing Mark Cavendish for next season, but no one from the team will make any confirmation, and so far Mark seems happy at OPQS.
And in other news, Sammy Sanchez has said that he will more than likely retire at the end of the season. A great rider from his generation and an Olympian Gold Medalist, he will be missed greatly, especially by Euskaltel who will need to find another big points scorer and fast!
Some of you may remember this segment from a few years ago.
Basically how this works, is after each blog entry that has an Ask David Segment, you can ask your own question for me, that I will answer. I will only answer one question each time, and I will try to answer the first question asked, but if the same person is always the first to ask a question, in fairness I will answer the next persons question.
It really helps if you clearly label that the question is to David, or else I might just answer it "myself".
I think this is a great way of connecting with my fans, so I hope you guys enjoy this, as I find its always cool to talk to fans, and answer questions they want to know about me!

David, what do you absolutely want to achieve in cycling?

Its nice to know this isn't forgotten
I've just finished exams and now I've got a week of parties to deal with since Im graduating. After that, I expect this to return.
I didn't want to make a post, because I feel like I make too many posts saying a story is on hold, or over etc over my years on the site.
But trust me, I plan on finishing this season on PCM 12

Well guys, it may not be a surprise to everyone that this story is coming to an end. I've been swamped for time the past few months, and for some reason finding time to report on PCM is a lot harder than just sitting down and playing PCM a bit, so I guess its partly that I lacked motivation at times.
Over the past few weeks, I've been playing around with my PCM installations, making room for PCM13 as well as past PCM's to play with some of my favourite historical db's like the 98 one for PCM10 and the 07 one for PCM11. I had multiple PCM12's installed and I decided to uninstall a few to make room, I thought I was only getting rid of my backup one, but I have also deleted my main one accidentally, as I found out when I tried to use the shortcut from my desktop today. I would install everything back up again, but I dont really see the point , so I think this is where this story will end.
Thank you to everyone that continues to follow my stories, even though lately they haven't gotten very far, and sorry to those that enjoyed the story and would have liked it to get further.
Im sure I will have stories in the future for those of you to follow or avoid.

What ever happened to the days of story writing in PCM 11? I miss David and Dominik.
I know exactly how it feels valv, but I really do hope you choose to make another story sometime in the foreseeable future, I loved them. |
