I can't see Andy getting the level he once got. It's slipping all through his fingers and it seems he doesn't care. Very sad.
If I had his talent, I didn't need to think twice. What a waste! |

After the debacle in the Scheldeprijs, Cavendish has stated that he wants Keisse to become his leadout man.
It's obvious Cav really respects Keisse due to his background on the track and also wants to do a Six days with him next winter.
But one can wonder if Keisse still has the energy to launch Cav after a hard WT stage multiple days in a row.

Keisse did an amazing job in De Panne temporarily dropping everyone but 4 or 5, though arguably far too early.
His stamina and recovery are big question marks indeed.

Cav also wants Boonen to come to the Tour. |

Valverde's still not ready to race, won't do Amorebieta tomorrow.
So, just like last year an injury's gonna make him get to the Ardennes seriously undercooked.

Miguel Poblet, double Milano - Sanremo winner, and one of the best Spanish cyclists of all time, has died today, aged 85.

It's the kind of shirt I'd expect would be worn by someone with low neuronal density. Given that Sagan is a professional sportsman, that's statistically likely to be true.

By far no news, but I couldn't find a better fitting thread:
Looking through the Caja Rural team, I discovered Amets Txurruka finished every single 2012 Vuelta stage (even the TTT) inside the Top 100.

I just found this to be interesting enough to share, and I guess this isn't a common achievement. Can anyone think of someone else doing this?

Froome, Contador and Valverde. Pretty much any big GC rider will be a "threat" to complete all Grand Tour stages inside the top 100. |

Well, I definitely wrote "common achievement for a non-GC rider"...seems like I deleted that bit while rearranging the sentence structure

Aleksandr Serebriakov (Euskaltel) has tested positive for a yet unknown substance in an OOC test.

How dissapointing. And Euskaltel got a WT-licence by signing a doper. |

Just fire him in your story, Sutty. Then he'll regret the doping!

Armstrong continues to not be able to stand that LeMond was so much better than him and did it clean. Now it turns out Armstrong offered LeMond's former teammate Jan Lammerts 300.000$ to say that he saw LeMond use EPO.
Lammerts refused.
