Ouch. Vettel has to give his box (or himself, depending on who ultimately decided it) a hard time, that might've been second place pitting just one lap earlier.
On the other hand, Hülkenberg overtaking him early in the race obviously saved Kimi and Lewis their podium spots as well, as Vettel lost like 5 seconds there.
Deserved win for Alonso. Even though I can't stand him at all, I have to admit he's really doing great so far.
Raikkonen is incredibly lucky to not finish 5th or so after that Perez incident, but what a piece of driving afterwards
Now, some verdicts await us regarding DRS use under yellow.
Webber obviously not affected, Vettel wouldn't lose a single spot assuming a 20-second-penalty, Raikkonen would drop to fourth.

I was wondering if Red Bull deliberately sabotage Vettel's team mate car, or if they just excessively neglect it ? |

Clearly Webber planned the whole thing in attempt to take Vettel out of the race
Great win for Alonso. Bit of a dull race frankly. Intriguing to watch the differing strategies play out but as a result the only real hard racing came either very early of very late.
Also Pirelli brought the wrong tyres to the race. The Softs just didn't have the life to be a useable race tyre.

Right, with Patrick du Quai, the French UCI president, whose office are in Aigle, France... Just push borders and translate names, and everything becomes French.
Or perhaps I have missed something ? |

The problem is how much should they pay for each fine?
Last time there was a lost wheel (Alonso in Australia I guess) he was about to be banned for a race but was sorted out with the same fine in the end.
This formula 1 is boredom united.
The cars are bad, still can't look at them really.
The tyres are awful even though they are made for the fans so more stops etc. but how do you create action on track with more off track action?
The regulations are horrible -> with these tyres, the limited amount of tyres needs to be lifted because F1 was about to be going fast and not like now you can't overpace yourself because otherwise the tyres are immediately ruined.
Plus DRS is (still) such a bad idea removing a lot of skill from the drivers to overtake or battle for a position.

Apparently Caterhams new upgrades are under inspection. Some of them don't seem to meet rules...

@TMM
Maybe Pic can be a challenge to Chilton that way.

Vettel wins in clear controlled fashion today.
Raikkonen and Grosjean take 2nd and 3rd.
Di Resta strongly to 4th.
Hamilton surged late to 5th, just ahead of Perez, Webber and Alonso in 6th-8th
Roseburg eventually finished 9th, having started on Pole.
Button rounded out the top 10.
Pic leads the B class in 17th
Lots of fantastic racing throughout the race. Overtaking galore in some terrific scraps. Pirelli tyres were good today, being consistent over longer runs. Suddenly the Bahrain GP is providing the racing it should do.

Shame Alonso's car failed or it would've been a fun race for the lead, he seemed faster than Vettel.
Also, I thought I was going mad for a while.
I was sure his DRS was stuck open but the british commentators didn't acknowledge it for 6 whole laps so I was doubting my eyes since they're quite good commentators

If you take the 21.8 (or there abouts) time off for his extra stop to sort it he would have been 3rd between Raikkonen and Grosjean. With DRS i don't think he would have been any higher.

It's more complicated than that
He overtook Vettel, then his DRS got stuck open and he lost 1.5s per lap from then on due to lack of rear grip, until his 2nd stop when he was told not to use it anymore. That cost him ages.

For about 4-5laps (6-7.5s), of which about 1-2s would be regained by the decrease in drag on the straights.
And i count out one of the stops as he only made 4 in the whole race, so he ran a slightly odd 3 stop race from there.
Of course though it is impossible to say where he would of finished without that problem. More unlucky was Mass with those two punctures, which were much more damaging to his race, and definitely cost him a solid points finish.
And as i'm on unlucky people, Sutil. Race over at Turn4 and clearly the Force India was fast, so he probably lost a Top6 finish with that.
And Vergne, t-boned by the Caterham. Ok so the Torro Rossos were not quick but race ruined regardless.
