I always knew the risk of this happening to Intxausti, but i had pretty good hopes after his past seasons. Hope it doesn't happen to often, or my season is kind of screwed.

Well, the tactics was pretty awesome with Redondo in the break, Pedraza in the starting attacks and then Valverde going. A pity he could not get a gap and then just silly when it comes to his positioning in the sprint. He would have needed some bonus seconds.

Well on the results list this is going very much according to plan. Contador didn't bother doing anything in the end though...
He hasn't reacted to anything yet, and I can only hope that he is saving himself for a monster attack on the most important stage, but I fear he will just sit in the group and end up in 10th place on the GC or so.

Very pleased that Sella.
Was there in the thick of it again, I hope he can time his attack at the very best time on the queen stage as he looks lively. I also hope he hasn't lost energy attempting to lead Van Stayen out, I perhaps should have paid more attention to my squad here looking at that!
Schleck has the ability to go for it, but it will be tough to distance Pluichkin but you have to believe that Valverde and Velits are vunerable.
So many top climbers here it's going to be very exciting for sure.

Well Tenorio tried today.
A bit late, but maybe he can salvage a top ten tomorrow.

Hmm, not the best result but it was a hilly stage, so it isn't so bad to lose a minute for Henao here in the end..

Great win for Velits, i found quite surprising how he is doing there against some of the bigger guns of the PT, well done and congrats to Project!
These downhill finishes are really weak gameplay wise this year.

Brilliant ride by Contador, what a tour for Festina, congrats! Schleck and Amador waited too long and he was gone already. Shame that Velits dropped lot of places ,but still nicely in top 10 in GC.
Thanks for enjoyable report Roturn.

Indeed, too late on the attack - but crucially taking 2nd ahead of Amador to at least take a podium spot. Lucrative race for Festina, and this might not be the only big Spanish race that Contador could win this year.

Another solid, but unspectacular by the team. Unless something drastic happens on the final stage, then it's been a very good protour debut. A stage win, two guys inside the top 15 and finally leading the Team GC is great.
Congratulations to Festina, Contador was incredible - well deserved win for him.

Don't really understand what Panayotov was going for there but this whole season has been a big mindfuck so far so I'm not really surprised
Also, very nice to see Velits winning again in the PT, and with such talent in the startlist no less

Whilst the current GC situation for Sella is a little underwhelming (and you never know what may happen on the last stage ), I am very pleased with his climbing. Also Contador a similar style of rider winning bodes well for the Giro where Sella will ride despite the heavy chrono amounts.
Guerao has a great chance of taking the points jersey on the last stage, though I fancy Holloway or Van Stayen to beat the wheelsucker this time

Right where I would put VDB in terms of climbing power in this race, but the unnecessary previous time losses makes it a 17th instead of a ~12th place.

If Holloway significantly improve his place in point competition and Rujano maintain 7th overall, I´ll be happy (definitely not so happy like SotD, but anyway)

 "Ev'rybody dance now!"
OMG that was awesome! Contador indeed DID just save up energy for one killer move. Jesus christ that was nice. 3 stagewins here a real possibility for points jersey if Guerao isn't too tired.

Indeed, you had a phenomenal race aswell, looking at the budget of the team and to compare with A LOT of the absolut top riders in the world being here, it has been a very nice race for you. Can't wait for us to compete on a more regular basis
And thanks mate - Now it's time for the Festina-blessing to take in, and make Contador crash 1km from the line and abandon, just like California last season where he was 3rd and crashed virtually on the finish line, only to abandon.
