I doublechecked Bos to check if he was dropped or not, if he contiue this he might score you some points some day ;-)
Congrats to Christer, as Rin said I also checked the availability of Greipel, for the second season ;-) But when neither he nor Ciolek was available, and Kupfernagel got too expensive I ended with Castenada

WWE certainly went under the radar, not predicted to make a train and Greipel not really mentioned in predictions. It does show that sprint stat isnt everything for the makeup of the train. Clearly a good 2nd man is needed - Vingerling is perfect for that - but Veilleux did a good enough job as 3rd rider.

I told you it will be horrible if Rothaus makes a train.
In especially when using Iglinski instead of Van Heerden in the train. Note to myself: Get better leadout or don`t send more than 1 sprinter to a race...
Vantomme some kind of rescued me by gettign the top5 with a nice finish as this was my season goal. But actually he once again proved to fail after having the perfect wheel. He just had to follow Greipel until the end and he would have had a podium I think.
Had there been more space, I would have been very interested in seeing how Vantomme went - rather than getting blocked in. I think he could maybe have pushed Greipel and Napolitano close, he certainly had the best position for it.

Great result for pretty much all the top 4 teams there. Especially Manan really impressing.
Great report SN!

airBaltic did really well too, grabbing second most points here thanks to 3 guys in the top 10. Very nice start of the season for them. And some nice scores by CT teams.

Great report. Well done WWE beating Napolitano, and simply wow Manan taking that 4th place, truly impressive.

They're usually updated after a few races, and each update will have its own thread, in this subforum.

After around ~8 races, there will be always a thread called "Rankings Update" where SN will write about how the races went, up and downs etc. with obviously the rankings.
So they won't be after every race updated in 1 thread.

Nope. They are posted when they are posted. Some people just work it out themselves.

Pretty amazing to see the Gorilla win here and somewhere else with a well set train.
Crashes too and some big time underperformances. Really sets the scene for some interesting sprinting this year.
Congratulations to WWE a fantastic result for them.

They can be posted after every race on occasion. The reason for the delay between races last season was to give me time to compile all the ranking scores - there's a faster method in place this year, so that could lead to more regular updates.

Great report SN and somehow a little surprise in Greipel victory. I expected more from Vantomme and I think the Mobil-Castrol made a good result with Ciocan to finish in 15th place.

I'd imagine it would be possible to do it through exporting the results, specifying the race category then running a complicated macro. I've got a rough idea of how it would work and could pm you to discuss my idea if you are interested.

And since my rankings file for CT is all set up, I can quite easily provide the rankings after the first race of the season.
Team WWE leads the Team Standings for the first time ever - and the history of the team stretches back to Volksbank in the first Continental season in 2008!
Strength in numbers puts AirBaltic-Endura in 2nd place, despite perhaps not achieving the individual result they were hoping for. The rest of the standings mostly correlate to where each team's lead finisher came.
And it is a very useful 53 points for Allianz-BMW to take an early lead in the CT standings, the HC gamble paid off for them here as Dekkers received the same amount of points he would get for winning a C2 race.
1 | Team WWE | PCT | 157 | 2 | AirBaltic - Endura | PCT | 115 | 3 | Evian-MIAT | PCT | 98 | 4 | Hollister Pro Cycling | PCT | 87 | 5 | Meiji - Cannondale | PCT | 83 | 6 | Rothaus - Aegon | PCT | 61 | 7 | Sram - Riboxx | PCT | 58 | 8 | Allianz-BMW | CT | 53 | 9 | Team UPC - Boehringer-Ingelheim | PCT | 32 | 10 | Mobil - Castrol Cycling | CT | 20 | 11 | Risa - Ergon | CT | 18 | 12 | Metinvest-Emirates | PCT | 15 | 13 | Oz Cycling Project | PCT | 10 | 14 | LukOil-Rostelekom | PCT | 5 | 15 | Alstom-RBC | PCT | 0 | 16 | Bouygues Telecom | PCT | 0 | 17 | Cisco Cycling Team | PCT | 0 | 18 | ING Cycling Project | PCT | 0 | 19 | Swedbank-PEAB | PCT | 0 |
The individual standings are no surprise - its the race result after all.
1 | Greipel | André | GER | Team WWE | PCT | 140 | 2 | Napolitano | Danilo | ITA | Evian-MIAT | PCT | 98 | 3 | Davis | Allan | AUS | Hollister Pro Cycling | PCT | 82 | 4 | Manan | Anuar | MAS | Meiji - Cannondale | PCT | 70 | 5 | Vantomme | Maxime | BEL | Rothaus - Aegon | PCT | 61 | 6 | Vaitkus | Tomas | LTU | AirBaltic - Endura | PCT | 53 | 7 | Dekkers | Hans | NED | Allianz-BMW | CT | 45 | 8 | Haussler | Heinrich | GER | Sram - Riboxx | PCT | 38 | 9 | Cavendish | Mark | GBR | AirBaltic - Endura | PCT | 31 | 10 | Rowe | Matt | GBR | AirBaltic - Endura | PCT | 26 |

No need
I already have an Excel file full of formulas and space to insert all of the relevant results for the rankings - for every single type of race. I had this last year, but was doing it all myself, this year the reporters will be doing it for the races they report and passing it on to me - thus being the faster method that I referred to.

After the tragic race from Hoffman, 15 points from depth 20-30 finish with three boys at least a small consolation, maybe it will save us in the end of season.

Not the worst start to the season for us, if we can score like this in every race we're in we should be fine. And our stronger terrains and teams are yet to come.

None of the 6 best scoring teams can complain here, over 30 pts per race day is good

You better don`t expect too much from him. The pressure might not help him as shown last season.
But good to know that he looked strong. Now he just needs to work on his positioning. |

After my attempt to bring him to the CT, I want to see what he is capable but I think it will be impossible to do worse than last year ..
