He's banned until the 5th of August, and Eneco starts the 6th. I guess he didn't need to put much thought to his post-ban calendar. Pfft

To see how many people actually turn a blind eye to Contadors doping is just.. meh

Pushing your body over the limit on drugs is not hard, nor admirable, nor couragious or entertaining riding

Yes, Contador, the strong doper, caught with 0.00000000000000005 gram of clenbuterol. CLEARLY a cheater.

Hell even in the official verdict it said that this amount was MOST LIKELY to come from contiminated food. So they basically said "we agree with you contador, but we're going to ban you anyway"

I've had it with that retarded view and all the anglo-saxon bias. Keep thinking Anlgo's are thhe only clean ones and the evil spaniard is doped

Good'ol A.C. maybe they felt they had to condemn him a little after all. Shock
Had they done their job properly the first time, he could be banned for good as we speak.

Where did you get that conclusion from? Shock

I agree with the others. It's weird that it seems people is angry with Wiggins, Froome and Sky ( I don't trust them 100% either) in general which has not tested positive, but then complain that they want to see Contador ( a doper) back to beat the Sky boys. It's ridicilous.

Contador, the client of Fuentes. Contador, whose trainer has been, for years, Pepe Martí, now banned for life. Contador, who has been accused by a masseur of one of his former teams of doping as far back as 2005. Contador, whose blood values were considered abnormal and coherent with those of someone who had taken a blood transfusion by Ashenden. Contador, the beacon of cleanliness.

Yeah, clearly anglo-saxon bias right there.

Double standards are quite common currently due to the feeling which has evolved amongst some of the mainland Europeans who believe that the Anglos are infiltrating their sport, specifically due to the dominant manner in which it has been achieved. In a strange way maybe they are correct but it is more likely down to the marginal gains and thorough training which they are missing out on. That is imo what gives Sky the edge and this regimented way of training and riding does not align with the European way. It can be said that it is making cycling more boring as Sky just ride tempo on the front of the bunch and that is an opinion which could be true and also explains the prejudice to Sky. Unfortunately Sky are here to stay unless they are busted by doping allegations etc and so everyone will have to live with it regardless.

Contador may very well have not doped but he had a positive, whilst Sky have not yet has such... whatever logic you are using it is hard to see the chances of Sky doping being higher than that of Contador doping.

Not necessarily considering that Eneco is as flat as a pancake it is not really the ideal preparation.

You're forgetting that he's been a rider for Manolo Saiz, then Johan Bruyneel at US Postal, then he went back to Astana, then he joined Riis.
I don't understand where he could get access to dope in those teams or with those people. Pfft

Rolling Eyes

Johan Bryuneel has confirmed in his blog that Andy Schleck will not ride the Vuelta

I'm happy to report that Andy Schleck is set to resume racing soon. We've established a schedule for the remainder of the season where he should be in a good position to attain results - USA Pro Cycling Challenge, Canadian races, followed by Worlds and the two Chinese races.

It's like they want proof that Contador is still a better doper than the Sky boys.

What the hell? He'll ride the Worlds but not Lombardia? Oh ffs.

At Lombardia he'd be expected to actually do something. He doesn't want to get his ass kicked. Same reason he won't be at the Vuelta.

Nobody cares if the Anglos start winning. It is frustrating to see their supporters coming in here and talk as if they have been watching cycling their entire life and keep saying that Sky have a so called better training regime.
The only reason people want Contador back is because it is indeed boring to watch a TTT up a mountain. People want someone to challenge that. Contador is the only one capable of that. Contador has had his punishment so he deserves another chance. Just like Millar, Valverde etc
Pozzato sucks!

Exactly.

I think Conta will act like Valverde this year in TdF. Think Froome will win.
