Wow, an amazing sprint, a massive margin as well
It was nice to see Wiggins takes a 1.5 km turn to lead out EBH though, nice to see him repaying the others
Cav's odds for the Olympics must have just shortened even further.
The only problem is who can lead him out? |

No-one probably.
Other GB riders will keep the break short and stop any attacks.
Cavendish will need to latch on other sprint trains like he did at Worlds.

No one. He just need to have someone fresh enough to reel in any attackers in the last kms. Not necessarily a British rider either.

Oh yeah, didn't think of that
But if for some reason they can't do that then if Wiggo did what he did for EBH the other day it would work |

Incredible lead out. Well done for 2nd Gossy, faster than Sagan again.
Goss is the only one from the main 4 sprinters that has a team strictly dedicated to him. And yet he's the only one that didn't win a stage. So I wouldn't celebrate that 2nd place too much
there's still a sprint in Paris you know
And Cavendish is still in the race you know

We all know he's not as fast as Greip/Cav so a 2nd to one of them is good for me. The flat stage Sagan won was good, but other than that they were uphill so Goss didn't have a chance. Obviously a win would be great, but I bet if Goss had Wiggo and EBH leading him out instead of the fail Orica train, he'd have won already.
Plus there is always Champs.

Cav say's Yates was describing the stage in the bus before as an easy day for the team when he "stuck up his hand" and said "please give me a chance" then Wiggins, Froome and Rogers immediately jumped in and glad they did that was great to watch |

Farrar confirmed that he can in fact still sprint alittle. I have him podiuming on the Champs Elysees. Where was Greipel?

Great sprint for Cav, uncatchable.Sagan was blocked behing Goss all sprint.
He wasn´t fast enough, there was enough space on his right.
Impressive by Cav, long and powerful sprint.
You were watching another race probably, he could not launch proper sprint.Of course Cav was another level, but he would beat Goss, there was no space on the right because of barriers and spectators

I'm pleased for Cav. He hasn't complained and got his reward. A fantastic turn of speed at the end. |

Oh come in Avin. It was a bit tight but he would have had no problems passing him if he had the speed (and leadout), which he clearly doesn't.

are you serious with that sprint!???? what was he about 8 riders behind? Granted break was probably pretty spent from the run in but still!
Sagan still has to develop but I don't see him ever becoming like Cavendish he needs the uphill finish. Great finish today. |

Once again, where was Greipel? I find it hard to believe that Farrar would place higher than him after crashing unless Greipel flatted.

Cav stepped it up from 600m to close the gap to EBH but only gave it the full kick from around 300m as far as I can see. Still a long one in anyones book.

They both fucked up the last corner a bit and sprinted from way out, Goss was probably little faster.Sagan seemed sprinting only half way, he was cooked or no space, cant be sure without overview replay.
