My graphics card is pretty decent (GF 7600), so it's probably my processor (1.6 ghz AMD Turion 64 X2). I haven't seen anywhere that you could adjust the graphic settings in the demo?
there's a "settings" file in your PES folder
you can also adjust the controller there. and it's A LOT EASIER to do it through there.
Thanks, thanks, thanks! I'm off playing again |

it's an insane sight to go into a room at school and see 6 of us holding these hovering around a laptop during a break
well that sucks, only $22.29 (around £11) from amazon.com but seen as it's american it won't sell to me so the cheapest i can get it for is £20, i would still pay it, but still could've got it for £9 less
i'll keep looking for cheaper though

Okay, back now -- much better. But it's like there's a memory bug in the game like with PCM The first 80 minutes of the game, it runs smoothly, but towards the end (both in Medium and High settings) it begins lagging.
Except for that, really good! Same high PES-quality.
How did you dive? You mentioned a few buttons, but what's the "button you never use"? |

good news, well kind of;
i am downloading the demo at 230k(whatever) and it should be finished in about 1hr30mins
unfortunatley the PPDB download is still very slow, so that may just be a problem with that individual download
anyway...PES

Hmm. I wanted to use it once, but for some reason they wanted to bring me down by themselves. So I got a fair penalty instead |

Addy, you should be able to get a cheap PC controller for much less than £20 - especially if your not bothered about having brand new kit. Gamestation sell second hand controllers for around £5. I got mine brand new from my local shop and it was a tenner, just your basic ps2 pad with numbers instead of the symbols.
Did you manage to reconfigure the buttons successfully CrueTrue? I have the same problem only I have kinda got used to the new arrangement. Its frustrating however if you try to play an intuitive through ball and the player just hoofs it 60 yards instead! |

Yeah, go to your Start Menu, find KONAMI, then Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 DEMO and then choose Settings.
In the settings, go to Controller. Try by yourself to configure it through that. If you're still having trouble, just write |

Hopefully it'll put a stop to the crazy shots I've been taking from around the corner flag too! In someways though, it simulates real football more - I mean how many players make those kind of mistakes IRL? Loads, especially in the Scottish Premier League where if you have a clear sight on goal means you shoot instead of finding an unmarked team mate |

There still must be some kind of memory issue with PES. It runs smoothly the first 75 minutes (in-game time), and then it begins to lag in the last 15 minutes. This happens in both Low, Medium and High settings. |

Upped the level -- and got my butt kicked
Also experienced the CPU diving now. Or, well, actually, I think the first incident I experienced wasn't diving. But he got a yellow card anyway. Second incident I got a yellow card even though the CPU was clearly diving. I tried to tackle the guy, but I wasn't anywhere near touching him. Yet, he fell anyway and I got a yellow card |

I just hope they've reinstated the unlockable 6th difficulty level. last year they took it out and it was boring, as the 5th was waaaaaay too easy.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed It'll be back
