NFL 2K5 is so good. Really wish I had a platform to play it. I was going to download a torrent of it, but I stopped because I don't like to do things illegal.

The engine and results are so much realistic then anywhere else.
It predicted the Patriots and Packers in the super bowl last year, with the Giants losing to the Packers in the conference finals. That accurate!!!
Do you have a jail-broken PS2 where it can play copied games?
You can buy it for $3 online. I have 3 copies, because my first 2 broke. All three cost me in total about $40. Madden is $60 alone

I'm sorry if this comes off ignorant, or if I'm clogging up your story, but I'm really not seeing this realism you keep talking about with NFL2k5 in your story. Some examples would be 5-8 team in a playoff spot, the leading passer on the worst team a few weeks back, and the amount of average records. Let alone the fact you are 10-4 with the Dolphins, on the hardest difficult if I remember right, says a lot about the gameplay or you are just a great player. If that is the case I tip my hat to you, and that point is null.
My point is that I did buy Madden 13 and I did play NFL2k5. In fact it was the first game I ever had when I got my PS2, 7 years ago. Madden 13 is by far the best football game I have ever played period. 2k5 doesn't come close, in fact I would say at least 4-5 years outdated considering at the time it was probably 2-3 years better then it should have been. Sure it is only $3, but you should at least give madden a chance because it is the most realistic football game on the market. And is definitely worth the $60.
Again, sorry for the over the top post. But I feel it had to be posted because Madden 13 shouldn't be overlooked for a game that is 7 years old.

I respect that, and it is not that Madden 13 sucks. I hate the way you have to do a "connected career" though. I want a Franchise mode, and the last Madden I had, '10, sucked in Franchise. The gameplay and presentation might be better in Madden, but I don't favor it. Keep your eyes out for NFL 2K14. And this isn't real life, so it's okay if it is "unique" from other stories. I mean I was 3-4, and now I am 10-4, I don't exactly know why I have won 7 in a row. But anyways, hope you will still visit now and then, just to see if it improves to fit your wants

And I think Connected Careers is a gimmick. Any improvement made doesn't have to involve combining them all and passing it off as a new mode. Plus no imported draft classes, fantasy draft, or offline franchise co-op.

I also had Madden 10, I can concur Franchise mode sucked a lot. But the connect career fixed all or most of the problems and actually added more by essentially adding superstar mode into it. And it works real good. I would like to hear why you don't like connected careers.
@baseballlover312: I don't use of those things you mentioned, so it doesn't bug me. But I would say draft classes should have been added, mistake on their part.
That review of course is for Madden 12, but you catch the drift.
And maybe even if NFL 2k5 isn't better than Madden 13, seeing as it was years ahead of its time, would Madden even still be around? NFL 2k would have advanced too and crushed it IMO.

You cant say that if there wasn't 2K football games for the past 7 years, that Madden would not be out of business. Selling for $20 on release day is what people want, and its what they got.
I am going to be honest, NCAA Football 13 is the best game EA has ever made.
Madden needs the live ticker on the bottom, the pre game shows with Boomer like 2K5, and the halftime & postgame shows, not to mention the sports-center at the end of each week.
Connected careers only lets you control 1 team, which is wrong. NFL 2K5 hit it right on the nose, and I intend to play it until the next one comes out.

Like I said. What improvement to the games Franchise/ Superstar modes could not have been made without combining them and taking away features? That's right, notta. Major gimmick.
