wow, Petacchi is quick.
McEwen looked good but just wasn't quick enough, but anyway the Green jersey should get more interesting now. |

Cavendish gave up. Why not at least sprint to the finish?
Now flaunting my very first avatar...

I guess it's victory or nothing for him now since he lost pretty much any chance for the green jersey

He doesn't give a sh*t if he gets 2nd or 45th place on the stage. 1st is all that matters.
It's great to have all the great sprinters finally at one place. |

I feel sorry for Greipel, when you look at Cavendish in this years tour...
Great performance once again by Petacchi, after Zabel ended his carrier has Petacchi been my favourite sprinter!

Behind Cav, who could not hold on. That mean no chance for victory.

I thought Dean was seriously injured by his crash earlier in the Tour. Guess he's not, impressive sprint by ham. |

Yes, I agree. He is simply not good enough in the flat sprints anymore. Would rather see him focus on the classics and TT.

One of the commentators made a good comment on Oz TV. The tour nerves get to everyone and Petecchi, the most gutsy and confident has jumped first both times which is probably why he won. How can you pass him going 60km/h on a fresh new road from just 200m out. |

Will be interesting to see if cav can either be bothered or will actually make it over the mountains! |

Petacchi looked very strong today. It'll be interesting to see if he goes after the green jersey.
Hagen also did well. Finishing third in his first TdF sprint is not bad. |
