Is Ten Dam (TEN DAM!!) confirmed? If so, that would actually be a super signing for Giant. He badly needs a guy in the mountains if he is going on the patch already next year which I expect and he being dutch is obviously also of importance.
Benat to Sky, the basque trio of climbers will wreck so much havoc in the Giro. Cant wait for that and definitely rooting for them. Throw in Henao, Konig and some other Sky-servants and you have yourself a team. The prospects of that Giro-team is insane.. |

I thought Ten Dam wanted to race in the U.S so signing for Giant if it's true is a surprise to me. Hopefully he wouldn't be signing on to support Dumoulin in a GT and to support Barguil as he is a better chance to go top 10 in a GT next year than Dumoulin is, I really hope Dumoulin plays it smart and goes for 1 week races and just see how it goes at a GT

Can't wait to see what David Walsh says about this considering his opinion on Astana/Landa's performance during the Giro, when someone asked what he thought about it he said "a number of people have asked, I try to say nothing as I truely don't know but I don't believe and I can't enjoy". It will amusing to watch him "clarify" his statement

Wut? I know Ten Dam has had an injury whittled season, but his day of top-10 ing in super weak GT's are over, no way he is getting signed for that when you have Dumoulin.
He has stated his goal is Rio fo4 2016, but will ride the Tour and he will obviously try himself out against the greatest stars on the greatest scene. Im sorry, but I think its stupid to think otherwise. I know there are other great races on the calendar you can focus on, but with the galactic rise of his GT-contender stock, every normal human being will immediately start think something along those lines 'hmm, a Tour de France GC woldnt be that bad..' And that already starts next season and imo, the right thing to do. Especially since I have advertised for Dumoulin's obvious GT-talent for 1-2 years on this site, but pretty much always have got the 'focus on 1 week races and ITT's instead'. |

I just re read my post and see the problem with the Ten Dam part. what I meant wasn't that he was being signed as a GT top 10 rider himself, I know he's past that and he would be signed as a domestique so we are on the same page in that respect
I know Dumoulin will Ride for GC in a GT next season and after the Vualta he's earnt the right to do this but I think it's a fools errand and that he will lose big chunks of time up against the real GC riders/teams in the high mountains (don't get me wrong I like watching Dumoulin so hope I'm wrong on this). I think Giant would be better of supporting Barguil and Ten Dam would be great for this, if they don't I doubt they'll hold onto him for much longer.

Also this is why I was thinking Ten Dam wanted to move to the U.S or U.S based squad https://www.cyclingquotes.com/news/ten...ptCookie=1 guess racing with a Euro team with the right program would still let him race some of the races he wants

Guess who is officially confirmed for Sky! Would be hilarious to see a couple of GB riders work their arse of for him since they have brought a horrible team anyways.. |

IAM have signed Oliver Naeson and Leigh Howard for next season, Naeson I understand but how did Howard get another WT contract?

Sutton gone..well fuck me sideways I thought he'd never leave..finally. This is Sky's best squad in ages, however cobbles look fairly weak. Of course it depends on what Thomas decides, but it doesn't seem he'll be focusing on them anymore, while Stannard is a beast his record in classics is quite disappointing, he was pretty unlucky with injuries so hopefully we see totally uninterpreted camapign for him next year.
