Fuck, Nerz already without any chance of fulfilling this Top 10 goal. Fuck this race.

Well done Peter, show those pesky Colombians their place. Also a great result for Burton. |

A lot to catch up with here. No top ten GC in Qatar, goal 1 failed but some good signs altogether.
Lachie Morton coming up with exactly what I wanted in TdU (and for that matter, most of our races this year). He got in the break when given the chance, attacked and rode hard to the finish. Incredible from him and that finish was a real heartbreaker with our goal being a stage win from this race. Still, looks like he'll do well in both the GC and Youth categories, wearing the young riders' jersey at the moment.
Matt Leigh continues to improve, some decent results in Aus but some very good ones in Qatar. He finishes our best GC rider in 51st (!) and got several good finishes despite having two solo lead-outs from Rudolph and Cantwell. When we finally had Browny and Cants finish in the same group, he was even better. Top 25 in the prologue too.
Over to San Luis, Rory's been acceptable with some good efforts but unfortunately no-one else can stay with him. Tommy Palmer's opening day attack might end up being our highlight here.

Bit disappointed by the relatively large loss by Josef, but Grmay in the GC top-10 and Hintermüller being very close is very satisfying.

Cardenas could be a shrewd purchase from me if he carries on like this |

Good stage from Carlos, hopefully he can manage to beat that beast called Sagan in the mountains

I give up. The game hates BMC. No idea why but I don't care anymore. I was really looking forward to this season just like everybody else (as you could probably tell from my preview), but almost all of my motivation has gone within two races. This game is broken, simple.
It's not that we're losing btw, I'm perfectly happy to lose, even Sky don't win every stage (Heck, if I was to quit due to losing, I wouldn't have made it this far ). It's the way we're losing time after time due to the appalling AI. Bullshit OP custom riders who join after everyone else and ruin the game don't make things any better either.
Rant over.
In before various people who win a lot of stages defend the AI.
Oh, and just in case you felt this was too much anger for a happy place, here's a picture of the world's happiest cat for you:

Well I am happy as larry about Arredondo and that stage he really took it to the others there and siezed team leadership over Alarcon in this one.
The Caja jersey attacking in the hills was my dream for the team - certainly better than a diesal climber desperately hanging on for the chrono

Dude, Hanzen is yet to finish a race for you. He will make everything better. Just relax and let it happen

Or you could switch to Novo Nordisk. De Maar always wins, and without good riders you won't have to worry about the AI. |

1) De Maar is UHC and 2) Switching isn't allowed

In case you haven't noticed, the exact same thing is happening to Hanzen in Oz.
"You'd like to win a bunch sprint huh?"
"Yes please, I have a stage win goal"
"Sure, here you go, have a dominant, comfortable sprint win"
"Thanks"
"Sorry about the fucking turbocharged breakaway that finished ages ago"

You're assuming he won't win up Willunga (justified) or in Adelaide (a genuine possibility)

I think the fact that Fabio is ahead of Muriel on GC really says it all about Colombias day out. Seems it's down to Christian to go for a stage win otherwise it seems the teams Colombians are going to be the team fillers for this year.

Well, as organising everything is already taking up more time than I'd like, I probably shouldn't.

Juan sneaking out of the bunch for 4 KoM points made my day
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
