Ollfardh - That might be. Hope to be back on top of it soon, though
ste_18 - Hope it isn't too strange for you! Katusha made a pefect transfer with Hushovd!
Jakstar22 - Thanks! |

Maybe it's because you reported nearly the whole San Luis in one day But you still have a lot of followers no doubt |

That might be possible
Though A Tale of Two went much faster if I remember correctly
I don't know, maybe it's because it's still a bit off-season cycling, or early season!
However, the followers I do have, reply a lot and I'm incredibly thankful for that. Next stage probably tonight, right now I'm still doing some work!

I read as much as I can, but there are usually 5 new races when I get home, so I lose track sometimes.

Thanks for letting me know
I realize I did San Luis quickly. However, I think the pace of the story isn't too fast (again, except San Luis). I hope people will catch on more now that it's slowed down again.
The next time I've a lot of time to play, I'll try to make less reports and include more races in one. So instead of having 5 reports about San Luis, I'd have one or two reports about several stages at once. |

Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca - Stage 1
The second race of the season. We're mainly here to build form.
The first of two flat stages, this one is a criterium. Stijn will be targeting a top 5 sprint finish.
I spend my day in the company of Portuguese Champion Rui Costa. He's a great inspiration and example and I'll learn a lot from him this year.
The rest of the day was just going with the flow for me. Meersman, who come with us from Lotto, had less luck and hit the tarmac already, along with some other riders.
Today I clamped on to Rojas Gil's sprint train. At the time it seemed like the best decision.
But my plan turned sour. Rojas Gil's lead-out boxed me in after delivering his leader. I lose valuable seconds! Byt he time I get out of his wheel, the podium is my highest possible place.
Van Avermaet shows great early form and passes me by.
Ventoso took the win eventually, I finish 4th. Not bad, but nothing special either.

Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca - Stage 2
The second stage here. Our form is definitely getting into better shape.
Again flat and an expected sprint finish.
I spent my day in the pack, taking it easy. I thought about a late attack but the pace was too high to even try.
I woke up with the worst possible legs. If I could manage top 5 today, I'd be thrilled!
Unfortunately, I didn't manage! I finished 6th. In about a week, we'll be going to Oman. I hope to be better there, since I'll be a vital member for Marcel Kittel! Van Avermaet took the win here.
Result
1 | Greg Van Avermaet | Team Garmin-Barracuda | 3h56'57 | | 2 | José Joaquin Rojas Gil | Katusha Team | s.t. | | 3 | Samuel Caldeira | Carmim - Prio - Tavira | s.t. | | 4 | Jure Kocjan | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | s.t. | | 5 | Andrea Piechele | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | | 6 | Stijn Van Gent | Team Argos-Shimano | s.t. | IanButler | 7 | Francisco Ventoso | Movistar Team | s.t. | | 8 | Hayden Roulston | Efapel - Glassdrive | s.t. | | 9 | Francesco Ginanni | Acqua & Sapone | s.t. | | 10 | Daniele Colli | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | s.t. | |
Looking at the field, Willy will have a hard time in the two hillier stages, with competitors as Schleck, Gilbert, Rodriguez... Ryan Eastman (newcomer to BMC) looks like a strong competitor for the Young Jersey!

A shame that Stijn couldn't get Top 5. Maybe Willy is more lucky tomorrow
@Daggen Yes. That would be cocky
