Valverde and Froome tied for 3rd?
My guess is Valv 3rd, because of his wins.

I never expected Gesink to podium here. He broke his leg last year, meaning he hasn't been able to train in the winter. He never has been able to reach top form this season. Top 10 is fine.
Gesink is always a slow starter so a high pace at the start of the climb will get him into trouble.

Shame i didn't put all my PCM in rodriguez, anyway that doen't make him the best climber in the world, don't forget Contador isn't dopped and Froome is Tired, Valverde is old now, who do you want to beat him(Gesink who blow up definitely, Roche.....)I think he can't do a thing against climbers like Nibali,VDB,Schleck, or Wiggins, anyway he must ride the TDF next year(top 5 maximum, there a lot of close gaps and the TT is so important)
in fact, Rodriguez is older than Valverde

Froome versus four Spaniards, he doesn't stand a chance with odds like that |

Excellent viewing - was off my chair shouting at one stage (I'll admit for Froome!). In hindsight it was probably a naive move. Very good job from his team though to tow him up.
Rodriguez is looking pretty formidable and is stretching his lead bit by bit. Contador is getting frustrated - his usual tactic just isn't working!

No, he starts and finishes with TDF. He was in Dauphine and didn't race at all. He wasn't even in Suise.

I think that's not the reason for him loosing. The peak and the form is and he's been peaking from Tour / Olympics onwards.
Unlike any of his 3 contenders.

That's not his problem. He's been 3 months in form, you just can't hold a peak for so long.

Well what's dislikeable about Froome's racing style... especially today, attacking the eventual winner straight after coming from 20 seconds back, with 1 and a half GTs in his legs? |

Some people like to overact with everything related to Sky.

You mean the four spaniards that refuse to work together when they're alone in front? Yeah, it's totally them being chauvinistic, not you. Nosiree bob

froome has had an incredible team in TdF but now, without TT or TTT he hasn't enough advantage over the other riders, so can't set his pace as he wants in mountain stages, so he suffers a little bit all those changes of rhythm. JRO always goes with his legs and stretches his energies only during the last km, as in the Giro. With 50-60 km of TT JRO woud win the Tour imho.

Very happy for LTD. He's one of the nicest guys around and he has a shot at finishing top 10 in a GT.
Can't think of many riders who would deserve it more.

almost..but do not forget that Clentie did not had any racing km at last 6 months on this season..this will leave a mark for shure
what the difference with Andy Schleck, No race between August and June, he start with Tour de suisse and finish with the TDF
Because Andy Schleck is known for his incredible track record of Tour de France victories.
