Buchmann in his first pro season is consistently climbing alongside Nerz and in pretty good company already, just behind the weaker team leaders and on par with the good domestiques.
His TTing seems to be acceptable too.......just saying.

Glad to see Pozzovivo doing well, it'll be important to have him at his best at the Giro in order to challenge Porte and Contador. Same can be said about Cunego to a lesser extent. Too bad Aru is being a little ill with the team he will be having at his disposal at the Giro, hoping the best for him. Especially Landa who finally is showing his talent
Maybe Landa gets a similiar breakthrough like Aru did last season in Giro. A basque GT contender, dream big! Pozzovivo will be indeed much fun to watch in Italy.

Jose Mendes has really been a nice surprise to me in Trentino. Running in the top 10. Very good performance by him! |

Paterski wins 3rd stage of Tour of Croatia. After all this talking about Szmyd being the leader. Good to see Patera raising with each start aftewr coming back to ride for a Polish team.

Nice second place for Landa at the Giro del Trentino, only person separating Team Sky from a one-two in the General Classification...
Could be down to the wire in Stage 4 of the Tour of Croatia with the breakaway (so says the GPS) holding a 1'30" gap with just 7.5km remaining.
Edit #1: Peloton screwed the chase up and the breakaway takes it. No red faces for Verandas Willems as Dimitri Claeys makes sure that one of the two Werandas Willems riders in the break walks away with the stage victory.

Victory to Mark Cavendish in the sprint finish to Stage 1 of the Tour of Turkey in a competitive finale involving Caleb Ewan, second, and Nicola Ruffoni, third. Andre Greipel and Lotto Soudal might be a bit disappointed with the German's eighth place, a decent fifth for Theo Bos and MTN Qhubeka.

Greipel was just badly boxed by Lampre guy...banging handle bars on the line. guy was motivated..and lately form has been stunning.
Perfect ride for Boonen..bringing sprint duo out front when needed.
Cav. speed was not that impressive..would have been nice to see Gorilla sprint against him |

Continued control and domination for CCC Sprandi on the final day as well, nothing like capping off your GC victory with a second stage victory.

Great performance by Ewan. First real time he has gone up against top quality sprinters and he has done a fabulous job. |

A nice first pro-win for Fraile.
Same for neo-pro at FDJ, Lorrenzo Manzin.

Greipel too far back to do anything of note, no one else able to beat an expertly protected and set-up Mark Cavendish to the line. Two stage from two for Cav, podium rounded out by Modolo and Ruffoni.
Colombia up in fourth in a sprint with Sebastian Motano!

Croatia is (or now was) my favourite destination because it didn't have drunken & loud germans and brits. Oh well that escalated quickly...
2 out of 2 for Cav in the small shit race. |
