Sure , if your a fan of that rider, but in reality its not that great when everyone and their grandma knows that the best sets their sights on the biggest scalp the Tour and does who cant win a tour, goes for scraps either Vuelta or Giro.
What about Quintana this year, Nibali last year and countless others before who set their sights on the Giro?
Please, as I've said before, just try and either remember some facts or if you can't remember them, do some research before you make these sweeping statements. Your attitude is clearly annoying many people on the forum (me included) yet you don't really seem to be that bothered, or willing to do anything to change it to a more positive tone.

How am I supposed to act normally, ignore and not insult in this thread, when someone so ignorant, like the guy under Jacdk nickname appears and is, besides the fact that he's a moron (in full meaning of this word, I don't believe his mental age is any bigger than 8-12 years) and doesn't know a shit about cycling is so arrogant and stubborn? How, just how?
I'm with you here, but his stupidity overwhelms me... He is an ignorant, arrogant cunt. |

Fuglsang said something along those lines to Danish TV as well.
Apparently he took a huge risk going 10-15 km faster than the other riders in the group on a decent with bad roads and 1 km after passing Fuglsang he was sitting on the roadside.
Seems he was a bit too "turned on" today and that ended up costing him the entire race..
Sounds too bad. After avoiding risks on stage 5 and losing time, he wants to do it today and promplty crashes. Bertie's form was here, but alas, own fault, can't do much about it.
Guy is tough as nails though. Props to him for trying but then again, there's only so much you can do. First Grand Tour abandonment in his career IIRC and jeez, we all know he had his share of crashes and bad luck. Vamos Bertie, come back even stronger!

I wouldn't say the Giro and the Vuelta were scraps, Giro is always a tough route, probably the toughest of all 3 races. The Vuelta will have a strong field this year. How you can any GT scraps is beyond believe.
No, you perhaps wont call them scraps but if you think about it. Consider how Riders feel, the media coverage, the officials.
Riders go all in for the tour and then if that fails its "oh well we always have Vuelta left to save the season"
I call that "scraps" |

Just shut the fuck up already, you keep repeating the same bullshit. Clearly nobody is agreeing with you so just stop it. |

what a boring tour already
With Contador gone, Nibali has won. Only thing remotely interesting is the podium battle, but it consists of mainly wheelsuckers like Valverde..
So I hope Pinot and Bardet take the podium places. |

Nice to see Pinot deliver too.
Absolutely. He always manages great GC places but so rarely receives credit for them.
Demare and Bouhanni having awesome seasons, but still the best French rider for me this year. 2nd Tour de Med, 4th Tirreno, 1st CI, 3rd Pais Vasco and now with his above average TT a chance for overall podium at the Tour
Gotta admit, I always considered Peraud to be a outer Top 10 contender at best but no contender for wins, neither in Grand Tours nor small stage races. Someone who finishes 9th, 10th at le Tour and at Paris-Nice because well, someone is always that guy. I'm glad he came back so strong this season after that crash last year. If only he had joined the road sooner, oh the things that could have been...

And honestly i don't care what you feel, if your annoyed then dont respond, its not that hard.
Anyways feel free to call it history in the making, call it the greatest thing in cycling since the wheel was invented. i will call it as it is.
for me winning 3 tours is great but its not "history in the making" great.

Of course it's not. It's very common to see a rider put his name in the list of winners of all 3 Grand Tours.

This is history in the making. We are quite lucky to be watching cycling these days as we are about to witness the second rider of this generation win the Big Three.
Yeah.
Perhaps we won't have to wait to many more years before another one joins that exclusive club (Quintana)
Please dont use the triple crown reference when its not 3 GT wins in the same year.
Only two riders have that Merckx and Roche.
Its like calling 3 goals in 3 different games a hattrick.
Shut your mouth please, it is actually acceptable to call it the tripple.

No all you actually wrote was "the big three", just wanted to clear some things
And it is actually a very exclusive club, so not just something every rider comes around doing, only 5 riders have done it so far, if my memory serves me right. Contador being 1 of them |

Peraud is looking strong, just as he was at the start of the season. But Bardet has an advantage of almost a minute, and since he's a lot younger he'll probably finish better than his older colleague in Paris.
Pinot seems that he's much, much better on downhill. It'll be an interesting battle for the best french, and like someone mentioned here, who knows... a podium? |
